Character Mini-Biography Born in France at the dawn of the 20th century to a French father and British mother, Juliette Desrosiers grew up a dreamer, always with her youthful head in the clouds. When the first films were unveiled unto the masses, she had never been so captivated, so passionate about something before, the magic of moving pictures making the impossible seem possible to the starry eyed young woman. When she was in her early twenties, she had saved up enough money to move to America, hoping to follow her dreams and become a movie star in the new Hollywood studios. It wasn't long before a movie producer caught sight of Juliette and cast her in one of his pictures, the success of which led to more and more roles, the young French actress taking on the professional name of Julie Rose. Over the course of the next decade she became a star of the silent era, during the end of which, through her fame, she was discovered by the Ancient vampire Otto Fleischer. Travelling to California specifically to meet her, he was captivated by a beauty that the silver screen hadn't done justice. Taking her as another one of his fledglings, Juliette was reborn a vampire just as sound was introduced to the world of film. It was during the thirties and much of the forties that Julie Rose became known as one of Hollywood's most talented, most eccentric, most sought after, and most lusted after starlets, finding no shortage of work despite the strange clause in all of her contracts which demanded she only work at night. This change resulted in many of her roles being femme fatales in noir films particularly, although the occasional romance or horror role came along. She never was one for comedy, but relished any opportunity for romantic roles. Work as an actress while being one of the undead became increasingly difficult and dangerous near the end of the forties however (especially since Julie wasn't aging) and by the fifties, sickened and disillusioned with Hollywood politics and a yearning for something different, she left California for good. In the following decades, Juliette travelled a great deal, occasionally taking a role on stage in Europe under a different identity, but eventually she grew tired of that as well, instead becoming an admirer of the arts rather than a practitioner. After her maker's recent destruction at the hands of the SDGG, Juliette ventured to Germany, the place where most roads lead for all Supernaturals, hoping to reconnect with her blood sibling Mariska while also discovering any surviving ones she has yet to meet.... ![]() ![]() |
