April 19th, 2012 The Wolves remaining of WolfSpirits have rallied together by Etienette to go and search for the missing wolves including the packs Alpha Kovo. Log Flying high above the packs territory in the dying sunlight would be a large black avian circling about. Its shadow would cast across the earth and perhaps across others who where below it. It started to lower its decent until it would land upon Kovo's rock. It was a gathering place for many, the Raven knew, and there he would wait. * Etienette had previously taken to the rock in the early morning but wouldn't perk to the Raven until she listened to the sound of it's wings. She'd avert her gaze, yellow orbs gentle upon it before she'd push to her haunches. Yes, this was one of the birds that was to guide her and the remaining numbers towards their family. It was on this day, she would have to move out with what numbers she had. She couldn't stay here any longer, it was a barren land. Time wouldn't stand still any longer for her, she had to take lead. <Faolan> Of the four forces of nature none knew claim over his ardent padfalls, those sullen steps he took while maintaining his proximity to Kinta and her kin. It was, without doubt, a slow trek to ensure the proper course but in the days that had passed they certainly would have found clues. A small pond of melt water next to a rock offered such times as respite to recollect upon such clues... * Kinta would awaken to notice that Faolan wasnt near by anymore but with in scenting range, she would yawn and stretch before standing leaving the two pups to still sleep . Kinta padded towards the little pond and Fao, chuffing softly so as to not startle him. The Raven with striking blue eyes would tilt its head back and forth as it watched the movements trail within. There was only one about. His large black wings fluttered before tucking closer into its frame. Meanwhile elsewhere in the woods, the crow who had been tailing the traveling wolves already would be heard cawing some distance from them. No doubt the avian's would have been flying back and forth leaving some sort of air trail by their passing. * Ezhno was resting within the open plains of the clearing, his ghostly white form sprawled out while he opened his robin egg optics to faint noises around him. Something in the air perhaps, a lingering wave of tension that was to be washed away on this coming eve. But his assumptions would not be true until he began to wander towards the large rock that exposed both an avian and a small wolfess. * Nightstalker slipped silently into the clearing, still a bit agitated after the meeting with the male the other night. * WildtierSeele would wake again, still beside the stream and would yawn lightly he sit it, stretching his limbs before standing and gazing off into the clearing, finding nightstalker padding in he would stand and would make his way toward him. <Faolan> A chuff against the quiescent backdrop of stilled rock broke he initial fragments of thought. With a few drops of his recent draught still clinging and clamouring its way down his muzzle, he turned to look at Kinta curiously...an obvious question waiting on the wings. * Etienette would wait in silence, her orbs settled out on the clearing as she took note to Night's scent along with Wild's, and another unknown to her. With a low huff she'd dip her head the slightest bit before raising it. She'd wait awhile longer, was this truly all that was left? Her daughter, Arantius, Ter-Auma.. Were they all gone too? She exhaled some, straightening her form up as she stood upon all fours now. If they weren't though, she would have to move out. She could only take note to three other scents aside from her own, the rest were scattered in all directions.. * Ezhno the ghostly male drifted through the clearing, aware of the two scents lingering but he continued forward towards the rock. He wasn't entirely sure on the form of the fae upon the rock though he would continue approaching. If he was to be approached though, he would hold off on his approach towards the rock and introduce himself. He was, after all - a stranger to these parts. * Nightstalker glanced about the clearing with his pale blue eyes. * Kokuro had kept himself near his father and the caretaker but generally out of sight and scouting about for any that may interfere with them. * Whitecloud slowly awoke in the clearing, her white fur not having much to blend in against this season. She opened her eyes adjusting to the light as she'd glance over the clearing in silence for the time being. A yawn interrupted her but a moment. * Kinta would look to Fao " how did you sleep?" she knew her nights were restless worrying about her daughter. she would pad closer dipping her head low for a drink before looking back to Fao for their next plan of action. * Etienette would push herself forward some upon the rock, her orbs fixing in upon the clearing while she'd flick her tail once. No more wasting time, it was now that she would take lead. Her vocals warmed some, her paws pressing against the smooth surface of the rock before she'd emit a lowly and lengthy howl. Whoever was about would perhaps hear her vocals, it was a call of gathering. The time to move out was, on the rising of the moon behind the mountains the sun still gave way to it's lowering shine. This would be a journey of the heart, of absolute loyalty. The Raven would remain a top Kovo's rock as the sight of other predators, wolven, would break into view. His wings would flutter once more and he gave a deepened caw. "RAWWHAWWW". There would be silence for a few moments before he would caw again "RAW HAW HAW HAW". * Nightstalker turned his gaze towards Eti as he stood within the clearing. He began to approach her position. * WildtierSeele smile to nightstalker as he would pad to him." hello night." he would say in greeting, duping his head in respect, though his head would soon pop back up, his ears standing alertly as he would hear Etiens howl and would turn, padding towards it in a quickened pace. * Ezhno would slightly perk to the howl, and avert his robin egg optics to the rock as he moved towards it. This call was not familiar to him but he would come to a short stop, a good ways from it while his gaze widened. "Well now.. What a sight this is.." he spoke softly as he took to the sight of the small female, Etienette. Their last encounter was over a year ago, and in his attempts at scouting out this pack, he was finally, successful. * Hex rested casually by a tree, listening to the voices of others. Soothing as it were, he wished to join in even if situations did not call for it. Just the musical aspect was lovely. One guessed about the cause of the gathering, judging the many scents, quite a one there was. Stretching out each paw he started to move off towards the others. At the very least, we should be interested on who he'll keep in the pack. |

* Whitecloud blinked and stared at the raven staying back for now, her ears fully perked up listening to everything around her. She sat in silence. * Nightstalker glanced to Wild and nodded slightly. He would stop near where Eti was and settled upon his haunches. <Faolan> The slow approach of his son's scent made cause for him to regard Kinta's question in different light, his own evaporating behind a cloud of thought. "I slept..." a sufficient answer given the circumstance. He looked into the wind, judging the topography in an effort to locate his son before he stepped away from the pool of water "Will you be coming the entire way?" asking in a quiet tone. * Etienette lowered her maw, her orbs fixed in on the ghostly male a ways away from her. Familiar though also a stranger she felt her blood boil but for a moment until she remained quiet. She would wait, who else would be here? She had to know, this had to be a swift gathering, the plans laid out and then carried out towards the rescuing of their family. It was only then that she'd begin to speak. "As you all know, there has been a great darkness pulled over our lands, our family stolen by the clutches of men.. Our numbers aren't too fair at this moment, we lack in some things but our hearts will give us the strength we need.." she said, her voice drifting. "This is the eve that we will move out, we will follow the trails marked by the avians I have spoken with days prior to this.. This journey, it will be long and hold many dangers but we are a family, we will get through this" 6she said now as she gazed to Night, Wild, the unknown male and the fae off a few ways. She had more to speak, though she would allow her words to sink in first.. * Nightstalker caught the scent of Hex and turned his gaze to the male, eyes narrowed slightly. He turned back to Eti as she requested that he remain at the front of the group and gave her a nod. He cast a glance to his spirit sibling who he hadn't seen in a long time and tried to get her attention. * Whitecloud slowly stood up and padded her way behind Hex. Sitting down silently and as stealthy as she could. She nodded to night keeping silent, she may just keep an eye on the pup now seated infront of her. His blue eyes would peer towards the gathered before clapping its beak. Without further word as there was no need for any he took off with a simple leap. He would flap his wings, taking off in a sure flight towards the woods before he caught a draft and would fly straight up and into the air. He would let out another few caws as his presence was known to them while he took flight. * Faolan wouldn't add another word then. She knew what she was putting her remaining offspring through and he knew the dangers of losing his last remaining son. The sun was setting on yet another day to count at least three, full cycles since they were given a clue by the raven. Afterwards, he had followed the scent of smoke not unlike that of his memories... * WildtierSeele would nod to Etien, standing and pacing a few steps towards her, he was ready to start the search and would be ready to watch for anything that could be around along the way, weather clues, or more humans. The Raven remained high in the air to allow the starting party to move on in some known direction. Meanwhile where Faolan and the party that followed would get closer to the sound of a cawking crow. They where getting closer to the establishments. They where at least a full day off for the town itself was about 240 miles out but a wolf could travel at 60miles in a single day if they had good leg work and didn't stop. * Ezhno listened to the words of Etienette, it would seem she truly was of a ranking now in this pack. Though he would follow in behind the rest, at the very back. He held no name to them as of yet, but instead of following as though he belonged to this pack, he would weave in and out of the trees to keep an eye on everything. * Kinta would remain quiet keep in pad with Fao looking to her son everyonce in a while " you ok?" she asked nosing him, her hues would show worry as they gazed upon Siku's frame. * Hex smiled lightly towards Etienette, watching the bird as she spoke and kept his ears perked forward with one swiveling about. The large timber wolf sat back on his rear, eyeing what forms were present. Others were off? Questionable whether they should be missing on the journey or present be done with. He would join them. What opportunities there would be on such a quest. Oh, sorry to notice the scent and presence of another female near him. Abundance was a wonderful thing in a pack. Perhaps this one would be easy, hopefully without fatal rankings. A glance to the bird and he was on his paws, ready to follow the female to her death, if such an opportunity placed itself. * Etienette began to move forward, following the direction of the Raven as she'd take the lead. Her pace was a trot, both quick and eased so as not to wear them out so quickly into their trek. Her words would remain in the air, hoping whoever else was near, would follow. She would though, take in the sights of her home around her. Would this be her final goodbye? Would they too make it back, and be successful in rescuing the others? Her features were wavering with doubt though she now pushed through that mask of it and continued forward. * Nightstalker followed right behind Eti. He trusted Cloud to keep an eye on Hex, he just could not find it in himself to trust the male as he did others. He glanced over his shoulder at the others before turning his gaze ahead of them, ready to do anything that Eti required of him. * WildtierSeele would begin padding forward , standing close behind nightstalker and Etien. watching the forest around him, the odd smells would make him draw back his ears for a moment. he would continue watching around him, not sure what he was looking for, but he was keeping a sharp eye out for any humans that may be lingering about. * Whitecloud sat back with a raised eyebrow, and a wolfish smirk at almost mocked him. The look on her face was more of a 'go ahead and see where this goes'. She would follow behind the group slowly but surely. * Hex let the others take leave, curiously. Follow the avain? Strange guides this pack had, but if it worked well he'd enjoy the travels. A glance back, frown. Shame, too old for much else other than a nanny for his pups to be. Moving off from the old bag of fur he came up behind Wildtier Seele, ignoring whatever attempts that creature did to mock him. Now for boring moments moving with the others, waiting for good options. * Kokuro would fall in to the rear of their little group to watch for those that may follow. The young wolf knew the caretaker would be concerned with guarding and caring for her yearling to watch out for any hint of this nasty two legs. * Siku would lean into the nuzzle to show he was fine, The youngster was not a "talker" but could get his feelings across very well. And since this was really the first time he had been around adult males since his papa had disappeared, he was being very observant of what was proper behavior and skills. * Etienette continued on the path of the Raven, her form low but still holding it's posture in rank while she was silent. She knew Hex would be following, an annoying one to be on their tails though she had faith in those who were a part of this rescue party. She would glance back now and then, watching each individual in silence while she kept up with her fair trot. * Nightstalker followed Eti as she lead them off on their quest. He kept watch out for any threats to the group, either from without or within. * WildtierSeele would look back, watching hex, growling quietly for a second before releasing a huff and looking back forward, as he walked he would gaze out into the forest, watching for clues or anything odd he may find, and also keeping an eye on hex as he padded on. <Faolan> The presistent silence that followed them was unsettling and the resurgent sounds that greeted them along the way felt unnatural and forced. If the trees had eyes with which to watch, he felt that they were upon them. He heard Kinta's tone with her son and huffed a breath he hadn't felt fill his lungs. As the days passed the unsettling uncertainty of his mate's fate drew heavily upon his muse. For now, they would march as queitly as they could forward and within the heavy shade of the forest canopy. This meant that there were a lot of terrane changes...up the flank of a hill and through the ravines cut by local streams... The raven above the traveling group now would caw again. It let them know perhaps of his presence or maybe communicating long distances to another companion. Regardless, it kept an even flight as he would soar through the air with ease against the hot wind. As Faolan, Kinta, Kokuro and Siku drew closer and closer to the humans establishments they would notice the world around them changing in a gradual gradient. The trees where being cut back a little more and they might even come across an old dirt road used for far back hiking. The smells where starting to loft to them. The smell of exhaust and town living. Other animals would start to become more noticeable. Those who enjoyed the easy life of picking off what's left behind. Bears and foxes where amongst those easily smelt. * Whitecloud held her ears up and tail at mid to slightly high level as she moved by Hex. Eventually she would decide that she would join her brother, tail falling to a mid level as she did so, her eyes still keeping on hex every so often. She would however give her brother a light hearted nudge once he noticed she was there as they moved. * Kinta would smile as she turned her eyes back to their paths, her frame tensed as she thought about the horrors her daughter and the others were enduring with the beasts called man. she would sigh slightly as she thought at least GG is keeping an eye on her? it was the only fleeting thought that kept her cool headed in this journey. * Nightstalker perks as he hears someone approach, he looks and spots Cloudy moving up beside him. He gave her a smile, the first in a long time, but it faded quickly. He bumped her back lightly and kept beside her as they continued on * Hex glanced to others as he felt their gaze. Such distrust towards him, and all he wanted to do was help them find their lost family. His tail remained low, swishing behind him as they loved along. Sure, he could stay at the back if they all wished so. Through the movements, his dark gaze lingered back to Etienette every so often. Perhaps there was a way to salvage her form, if only she could submit, what a lovely right paw mate. * Etienette listened to the Raven high above in the skies, her wolven features soft though firm in their determination. She'd flick her tail a few times as it remained high, harks jetted forwards while she pushed over the terrain. She was alert to everything, listening to the silence of the forest around them save for the slight sounds of crickets. Eerie it was, they had already taken to the borders of the clearing in their fair pace. It would be open travel from here on in, they'd be exposed to massive amounts of danger, but she had faith in her family. |

* Ezhno followed beside the group, keeping tabs on those who were walking while he weaved around trees and was quiet in his actions. His robin egg optics beamed in what light was through the trees, the moon no doubt making it's appearance more and more. * WildtierSeele would continue padding forward behind Etien quietly, he could tell she was listening to there surroundings and so he did not want to make much sound. he would continue padding on, wondering what they may come across first, and he was hoping it would not be anything to serious. * Whitecloud watched Etienette, still walking next to her brother as moved quickly. She kept silent as she moved gracefully over the grounds. Her amber eyes would keep watch on the forest and those around her. she only knew maybe 2 or 3 of the wolves here. * Hex began a gather of thoughts. Etienette could be spared, the other a nanny, Wildtier a lackey, fine turn out for a family. As, such wonderful thoughts to make more mates to be from who they find. As the trek continued his mind drifted, gaze holding true to the alluring form, he would continue on as he saw fit and as they allowed. <Faolan> Always within the trees. If they had to divert from their direct path towards the town then so be it, or at least he said within the confines of his mind. They would indeed find the frayed edges of a man-made path before them at some point, and however far they moved along it's outstretched limb they could not be rid of it. The squall like scent of habituated and domesticated animals came at them like a lull, a small nuisance while they were still some distance away. He paused within view of the dirt road, overgrown from disuse or irregular use and cast the question to Kinta. "Cross?" The traveling group would be about 240 miles out. A four day trip on foot if they moved swiftly and didn't run into any issues but who's to say that it would be such? It would be a venture given to them by what instincts drove them. It was very characteristic of wolves to venture long distances away from their birth pack and even normal residency to go where food is abundant and the pack can thrive. This was a far different scenario and the out come was unknown. The scent of wild animals would no doubt tickle their senses along the way. * Etienette the sounds of the night were now showing themselves even more. She moved around small twigs, somewhat of a precaution she took so as not to stir whatever was around. There was many scents lofting to her, almost twisting her senses though she remained on the chosen path, her orbs wide and alertness at it's highest. As the traveling few, days ahead of the rest of the pack, came upon the road they would find the sky slightly illuminated in one particular direction on the horizon. The crow who had been tailing them would have landed in a tree nearby. He seemed idle in his observations but watched none the less. As if to calculate their moves and see them executed. He had been trailing them the entire way. His clever eyes unwavering. * Kinta would stop to look at the choices given after scenting the air and finding that it wasnt going to be a huge help. she looked to the young ones once more before deciding "aye" she said cautiously moving forward knowing that this might be the last chance/time they ever saw home. * WildtierSeele would continue padding behind the Etien, looking back to quietly growl at hex again, though this would quickly be stopped as he would bump his side into a tree, he would quickly look forward again, watching where he was going. * Kokuro would be listening and watching the sky behind the others. His shadow and autumn pelt rippling a bit as he takes in the new scents. * Siku was doing his best to imitate the older male with them. Scenting about but never really getting to far away. He could tell things were serious so even though he didn't really know what he was scenting, he was cataloging the differences. * @Etienette gently brushed her shoulders to smaller sized trees, leaving her scent there for whoever else was left in the clearing. They could follow if they were quick in getting to the scent before whatever weather came upon the lands. Still in silence she kept at her pace, they would no doubt travel throughout the night but rest when needed. She would continue moving, but she knew enough not to stress them. They were already in a short number, and sterssing would only falter their ability to save the others. The Raven flying above the traveling group would caw once more before it would swoop down into a fairly large opening. It would slow its decent and would fly alongside Etienette for as long as it physically could. "Follow earthen wolf's trail. Swift you must be. Time is short." he cawed with an articulated tone. "Swift wolf, swift" * Faolan moved quietly ahead of Kinta and brushed his shoulder to hers. He wasn't going to have her be the first cut down into the fathomlessly deep slumber...though it was slightly a chauvinistic action he certainly meant well in protecting one that could in turn protect his family. "Cross quickly when you see my frame pass by that bough" he said as he gestured towards an opening in the underbrush some thirty feet along the path of the dirt road. With that, he dashed across the road... * Etienette listened to the words of the Raven, her orbs narrowing some though she understood. "Yes.. Swift" 6she said, gazing back to the ones behind her. "We must be quick in our travels, find water where you must, and get what food we can on our short stops.. We have no time to slack" 6she said, her tone firm though it held it's gentle touch. * @WildtierSeele would nod to Etien." understood." he would say in a gentle voice."im ready to do what ever you ask of me." he would add as he continued padding behind her. * Kinta would nod looking to the two young ones " you two cross together but run, run faster than you feel your paws can" she would look worried this strange human path made her nervous , she would let the boys go slightly ahead of her so they could run to Fao should something turn amiss. Perhaps the Raven knew more then the wolves, perhaps not but somehow he could sense the urgency in the matter. It was odd, the Raven helping them but it was as it was. Meanwhile as Faolan crossed the road in a swift sprint he would find nothing to truly block his way until he reached the otherside of the dirt path. There nestled in a clump and layed out flat would be a row of bobbed wire. Obviously some sort of boundary marker that had long sense been cut down. The dirt path was once well used by the travelers and hunters seeking thrill and adventure. This was still very remote even by human standards so the trail seemed like it was traveled once in a while by passing hikers. * <Kokuro/Siku> Both the younger wolves would follow. Kokuro would actually slow a little to let the yearling lead abit to get to cover. Reaching Fao they would both note the odd stuff and move aside to places of concealment. * Kinta would take a deep breath before she began her crossing in quick movement across the road finally reaching the other side she would almost run into Fao as she lept off the road to the safety area. As Kinta started her way across the dirt road the sound of something humming would a loft to their senses and it was getting closer and fast. The wolves would find themselves upon a dead path yes, over grown by the weeds that took hold of an unused road but there was still evidence of the occasional use. Tire tracks would be seen burried in the mud. Marking the passing of humans. Off in the distance, about 100 yards would be two twin lights coming towards them rather quickly. It was small, not like a car but possibly something akin to an ATV. * Faolan could handle thistles and brambles, but the row of flattened, steel barbs gave him pause before he vanished completely vanished into the treeline. Unnatural lights were enough to cease his heart near the base of his throat. If another set of humans found them here they would have fight... He would wait just a little ahead of his son and Siku, watching what transpired.. |

The Raven would keep in flight with Etienette until he could no longer keep up the slow pace and took to the air with a single glide up. He cawed "Water, Food near!" his voice resounded against the wind and cast itself below to the gathered. Meanwhile: The ATV would move with ease across the dirt road. It was built for this type of terrain. What it was doing out here was anyones guess save for the single man piloting it along. The headlights where of a strong LED that would blind anything nearby as it got closer and closer. Now only 10yards off it would start to slow as the eyes of the wolves would reflect back to the driver. It swerved to the left as if somehow to get a better look. * Kinta would look to where the atv was seeing the bright lights before moving off in a spastic dart towards Fao and the pups " stupid filthy humans " she seethed looking to fao she noticed the pups were exhausted but would let Fao call whether or not they stopped for the night. <Faolan> "Keep them moving" offering a last gesture to Kinta before he first dashed towards the atv and then back into the treeline. If he could pull the human away from them then perhaps at some point down the line they could meet again.. * Etienette listened to the Raven's words, watching him take back up to the skies before she huffed lightly and continued. It was then finally, she would stop to ease her thirst. It was of a puddle from past rains, though perhaps in more travels they would come across much more. The ATV would slow considerably but the others disappeared all to quickly for the human to get a good look. If anything the man a top the ATV was far more frightened as it was night after all and this was a place full of predators that could easily kill a human so in fear the man gunned it. The throttle was pulled back to full until the man would speed past the wolves hiding just off and out of the way. However as Faolan would leap out he would almost be clipped by the ATV and his attention was no doubt adverted and the ATV would skid left and right as the man slowed. Whether they avoided the barbwire or not was up to them but the man was quick and the ATV would kick up dirt and pebbles as it soared past them. The pebbles sent pinging off the trees near them. The ATV was at a full stop, now pointing in Faolan's direction. The motor would *hurmble hurmble hurmble* in idle as the man would yell out "GO ON!" there was a clear lather of fear. * Kinta would furrow a brow " come on boys" she would leave a scent trail strong enough fro Fao to follow as they disappeared into the darkness. * WildtierSeele would follow Etien to find a water source and would look to Etien." may i?" he would ask her in a shy-ish tone. the walk had made him quite thirsty. * Etienette gazed to Wild, smiling softly as she nodded gently. "Of course, you will need your strength.. As will we all" she said, stopping for only a short time to allow Wild to also take a drink. They had to be quick, but she would also dare not to stress those remaining. It was futile that they remained in good shape. Not only for the rescue, but for whatever could possibly be waiting for them throughout the more open areas of this place. * WildtierSeele would smile." thank you" he would say, dipping his head in respect before moving to the puddle and dropping his head down to lap at the cool water. He would lick the remaining drops of water from his maw before moving away from the puddle to let anyone else drink should they need it. * Faolan didn't need an invitation, but he wasn't after a simple escape. It would be easy to know the man's intentions if he understood the language. There was something in the tone though that spoke of his mistake. While Fao had the inkling of killing the man, he didn't...knowing full well that members of this man's species would not even feign to kill him where he stood. Now was not the time nor place for internal debate on the behavior of mankind. He knew his mistake and took what he could, darting back into the forest after Kinta and the lot.. The man would throttle his ATV as the wolf darted off and away from his headlights. His shadow cast an even bigger image upon the trees nearby which spurred even more fear from the man. He gave another throttle and the ATV went after Faolan until he disappeared. There wasn't even a moment that passed until the man spun his off road vehicle around and darted off in the opposite direction. Perhaps going far to fast for such a road. He was gone within a matter of moments. Even the sound of the object faded into the darkness. The raven would swoop down and land upon a low hanging branch near the resting wolves. He seemed to project the notion that he was going to stay with the wolves? * Etienette would soon take to laying down after watching the Raven do so upon a branch. She would lay there, though refrain from sleeping while she gazed out to the silence of the forest. A tranquil state though she still had a bit of uneasiness in her soul, this was all new. A journey that would no doubt change the lives of all who were part of it. * WildtierSeele would watch Etien lay down, giving him the idea it was time for a rest so he would lay down as well, however sleeping wasnt likely, hex was around somewhere and he wasnt home anymore out in the middle of the forest. he would look out to the stars for a moment before looking out into the woods, keeping an eye out for anything that could be there. |

April 25th, 2012 Faolan, Kinta, Siku and Kokuro have reached the human settlement and town. What they encounter there would be a journey left to unfold. Log <Faolan> The cold edge of another sleepless night grasped its hold firmly on his frayed muse. If the initial capture of his mate had not done so then the encounter with the human last night spurred a quick undressing of his idea of the humans. This close to the gathering of those bipedal beasts would give cause enough for constant alarm, but the stillness their presence produced in the natural sounds made it all the more unsettling as he looked out amidst the flanks of the trees for a path forward. * Kinta would stay low to the ground covering the two young ones in her care, they stopped only when the little ones were tired , but that was for only a couple hours at a time " come on little ones " she nudged their frames . she would raise her nose a brief moment to see if she could scent Faolan, after their separation, things became more tense Kinta even began to stagger her breathing. she Hoped they were close to him though. As they trekked onwards the world seemed to be going by on its own. The horizon, however, would play off different lights and colors as it seemed brighter, more busy. It did a fine job of drowning out the stars and as they proceeded onwards, it would begin to wash them away entirely. The sounds of busy city folk would start to pang on their senses and ears. They no doubt had come to the border of the town where the wolves had been taken. On the outskirts where nothing but farm and ranch land allowing them some wide birth before entering the town all together. Perhaps even their first house appearing in the distance giving off a faint glow while humans slept soundly within. * Faolan had initially meant to lure the humans from Kinta and his son's path, but so goes the best laid plans of many'a mammal. Disjointed thoughts of rescue and salvation rolled together with the malformed dissonance of the nightmare faced if caught. Those downtrodden musings caught him squarely for the many moments he must have sat there, watching the unnatural opens for signs of life outside a tall wooden box. He felt the wind blow past him in its flippant course, sending his scent back to the forest...and still he did not move. * Kinta would keep the boys moving along their path towards the blinding lights that caked the horizon, as a breeze blew by though she moved her head up and finally caught wind of Fao ahead, her heart almost skipped a beat " hurry now boys, but keep quiet and low" they would quicken their pace in the scent direction hopefully this wasn't a trap set by the humans she thought as they move along the shadows. High above the canopy, flying over head there would be a dark avian soaring over head. He was quiet and silenced through his flight and he seemed to be coming in the direction of the town towards the traveling pack of wolves who had, by now, made it to the town. He seemed very direct in his flight pattern and course. Upon further inspection it would be noted that what approached them was a decent sized crow. Lower and lower it would get until it would spread its black wings and land on an abandoned post that at one point, held barbed wire but now it was just loosely coiled around its base and copper with rust. <Faolan> The whole world felt surreal and a perverse image of what it should be. Yet, the fragments of hope that they left with were still there amidst the incoherent play of daydreams his tired mind thrust upon his conscious moments. Sleep eluded him since the night prior. So, it was with much effort that he pushed himself back to his paws ever so slowly and began making his way along the treeline...hearing then the approach of more than just one other. * Kinta would remain cautious. "Boys stay to the shadows she whispered" she steps became long and drawn between each pad fall, she wouldn't make a noise before rounding the corner. Kinta saw a dark figure pressed against the horizon, it was wold in shape but her lack of sleep made her wary " is this a trick?" she breathed moving a pad fall closer until the figure came more into view. she waited though ready to dart at any give moment " fao?" she whispered softly. The crow watched the predators move out from the treeline. He would skip from one post to the next with agile ease before landing nearest Kinta and Faolan. His eyes blinking and he ruffled his feathers to perhaps strike more attention to himself. "Be careful of the wires that cut and capture, the wounded don't last much after. Wolves come again to a place that already harbors them." He had been keeping a keen eye upon the compound of human enjoyment that held the Wolves captive. "Black and earless has been put to the test, death was swift but not for the wolf. Another black was bet upon, but lost not and allowed to go on." *Faolan Unsettled to the last...the very thick of the forest finally gave way to a familiar voice, one he gave a return chuff to before being confronted with another black framed bird. Tired and tried he gave a terse response. "Unless you have knowledge of where my mate is being held you do me little good. Ill news will only spur desperate action." * Kinta would growl huffing forward in an attempt to run the stupid thing off "dang bird" she said looking to Fao in almost disbelief "I'm glad you've faired well" she said her frame relaxing slightly "boys, come here , Ko I found your Father" she would call back to them as she watched their frames emerge from the treeline as well "its not safe here, we must keep moving" she spoke quickly feeling at unease again after noticing that they had stayed put for too long " you lead?" she said taking up the rear with pups in between she would follow Fao until they needed rest. The days that have come to pass had already seen blood shed and death. Several wolves, freshly caught and added to the stock, had been taken upon their will and forced to partake in mans cruel games. Cruel where they? The hand that shaped their opponents would not think so. Money would make any man do the utmost extremes. Especially if it didn't involve their own deaths. Little remorse was given to the fallen but the victor would no doubt be bathed in the light and glory of such, despite not seeing an ounce of that gratitude towards their own well being. The Crow would flutter jet black wings again before his head tilted and would clap his beak. "And old one is captured, a leader.... and followers alike. Four remain but one is missing. Much turmoil and much panic. To those four I can lead you to, the other I cannot." Without knowing where they had taken the other wolf, Atraya to whom was concerned, he could only lead them to those he knew of. Kovo, Nanalea, Zireal and Jay. Pen six. The odd shape that circled about a line. It was a funny shape to him and easy to remember. He knew once one would go missing others where to follow. He tucked this upon his small mind, but a clever one at that, and would take note to follow what leads he could. Without much more of a word passed he would leap up and glide high into the air but low enough to remain visible. He would start to guide them where they wished to go. Danger would lurk around every corner so this journey would not be without strife. |

May 19th, 2012 The search continues for lost packmates Log The common stagnation that would envelope the clearing would remain so. Even more thick now with the absence of bodies no longer roaming about. The pack would've set off with whatever arms they had available, or paws, and had been on the trek to find their missing packmates. A few strong and steady wolves had already made the venture and by now, no doubt, had made it to the town. Whatever they would choose to do was upon their own tides to wade. Meanwhile, high above no doubt following their trail would be that familiar raven. Keeping close in the branches and perches that where available. * Siku had rolled in something he should not have but at least his silvery white pelt wouldn't stand out in view anymore. But oh the smell, a grin creasing his yearling maw , he draws his silent frame abit closer to where the two legs had their family and Mama's friends. * Kinta would be with Fao, and the pups. they had been traveling for days with little rest and what ever food that was found in the shiney tins of the lit concrete forest most was given to the boys. " do you think we're close at all?" Kinta huffed looking to Fao. they were hidden by a thicket of trees and dead brush in a place the bipeds called a park. they werent safe but it was quiet for now. * Faolan noted the structure of human home still fresh on his memory. Where they had gone from there would be conservatively around the fringe...searching for a scent or hope. He gave Kinta a quiet glance and went back to scenting, grasping for what straws there were. * Kinta would huff trying to breath through her mouth more so her son was smelly but his white fur might have been more of a hazard to their goal " so where to now?" she thought out loud wondering were they should move to next. * Siku would allow a smirk to grow to stifle his grins. No matter the youngster was doing his best not to give them away as they tried to find the others. * Kokuro was off to the west abit scouting for some hint like his papa. <Faolan> Next to a rotting carcass and the sweet, "decayed" scent of the humans, Siku's smell was the preferable one. We have little to base our next move from. Without knowing what the humans have done with them or what they intend to do, one cannot venture a safe guess as to where they might have taken our family. One thing he was certain of was his son was nearby. He would nudge Kinta lightly and begin from the safety of their shelter to meet up with Kokuro. As Faolan would search for an ever wavering scent that may or may not linger, he would find himself in the small shadow of the Raven as the sun was setting its beautiful red and orange hues behind mountains and tall pines. The day was a warm one which gave a potent scent of pine needles and sap all the more stronger to the wind. The Raven would remain there, head tilted as he watched the Wolf investigate. They would be on the outskirts of the town but the houses where becoming more dominate and sprouting up all around them. The smell of cooking meals would fill the air and no doubt cause a rumbling stomach or too. The sound of children in the distance playing until the last rays of light could afford them sight for their adventures and even then would remain out until their mother called them in. * Kinta would sigh closing her eyes before looking to siku she would like at his nose aiming to clean it. what Fao said hurt but he was right she was just getting restless. She missed her daughter and GG. and the other . Dang humans she cursed before she would nudge siku to follow Fao . she would wait a moment as a group of noisy kids ran by. * Siku would look at the funny things and dismiss them as not important to being a wolf. Soundless, the yearling twists a little at the nudge and starts to follow Fao's path through atround. Kokuro was in shadows watching the activity about. He ould probably get away with going about in the open since his colors would make most think he was just a slightly oversized coyote at first glance but why risk a bullet. * Faolan wasn't exactly going to venture into the open, but there their opportunity to remain concealed was few and far between. His heart seized as a group of children rushed along their way, but he waited for their shadows to fly behind their wobbly, two legged frames before he fully moved out and towards his son. The raven remained perched nearby as night was settling over the lands to take hold for as long as it could. The world around them would begin to light up. True darkness would not be visible here and the stars where all drowned out by the humming of ember light casting a halo across the tree canopy beyond the sight of the wolves. The raven would flutter its jet black wings before it turned its blue eyes onto the gathered wolves. There was a moment of silence that passed the beak of this feathered avian before he spoke, now leaping into flight as he flew above Faolan as his current path led him to his son. * Kinta would finally move to meet with the others in her group " this area is too noisy!' she thought attempting not to be seen as she went to catch up with Fao. * Kinta would hear another group pass by and see would freeze if any of the little demons looked to their side they would see her. * Kovo pressed against the wooden wall of the compound she would be placed within, her head would be slightly placed between her two paws. The world around her would continue to move in tandem to whatever tasks or duties that humans would attend to but for now, she was resting her frame for she had a feeling of what has already come to the others would now fall upon her. She was lithe now, much leaner then before. The food in which they provided was twice a day but meager amounts at best. Their water was kept refilled, however, and that kept her mind running like clock work. The sound of children would continue to wave across the wolves ears until mothers called them in and like clock work, one by one, they began to die off. The sound of passing cars honking at your occasional annoyed driver would resound. The wolves might notice something heading in their direction but it was still a ways off. Headlights like before but brighter would start to approach up the road and the sound of gravel panging against metal would be well noted as the wheels turned against dirt no faster then 15mph. The Raven felt as though time was short as the headlights approached. Very short. So without much hesitation he would open his beak and speak meaningful words. "Wolves of WolfSpirits I presume? Looking for a pack lost to the hands of humans?" he was rather blunt but for good reason. "The Wolves you seek are being kept in a secret place beyond these woods and into the town's outskirts. My avian brotherhood have kept a watchful eye on their proceedings for the fate of your wolves has befallen my own kind. Follow this path until the road meanders into the thickened woods. Be close to this path and do not stray for you can end up in fair dangerous places then this. Remember, stay on the path until a building of a dying day hue appears. You will hear the reason for this place upon your arrival. I will meet you there." With that the Raven would take flight. His body would become enveloped in the headlights, causing his body to be outlined in a golden white halo until he disappeared into the night. <Faolan> Caught somewhere between his son and Kinta he paused, taking a glance back to see that Kinta had frozen. Adult humans would probably never have seen them at a slow or even stilled pace, but children had the knack for curiosity. He growled low at Kinta and pressed his on paws to turn himself about to find himself once more at the whim of a raven. Much to his delight this one had passed on the cryptic games and had gotten straight to the point. With any luck they had both had the opportunity to indulge in those words without interruptions from said children. * Kinta would twitch an ear to the low growl, she knew this was a hinderance but she she kept motionless attempting to walk backwards back into the brush the children seemed to stop kinta might be trapped for now. The children that where near the wolves would be giggling and laughing and as the night was starting to consume the rest of this side of the world they seemed to pause. Did something catch their eye? Perhaps something big and full of fur? A small girl, maybe no more then 5 would nudge at her older brother and start to run into the house yelling something along the lines of "DEMON! DEMON! DADDY HELP!". Meanwhile the boy would continue to narrow his eyes as if to try and make out what was there. His eyes where slightly adjusted but it wasn't much to take note nor could the boy make out was there. Instead he took the stick he had in hand to aid in his play earlier on and flicked it into the air. He turned on his heels and seemed to respond back to his sister "Its going to EAT YOU!" * Kinta would grunt looking fao " go she " whispered " ill catch up!" she would move to keep the boy in her gaze but move further into the shadows * Faolan wasn't going to stick around and find out what the girl was truly screaming at, figuring he could safely assume it was one of them that she saw...or both. He took after his son's scent and made way to find shelter away from any searching eyes. |

May 27th, 2012 Log <Faolan> It was with uneasy paws that he followed the raven's guidance, following the path laid for the four wolves. At the cusp of their last leg they had been spotted by the younger variety of the humans. Fright was universal, and the voices of the young children were enough to let him know they were at least fear...but fear brought about the worst in behavior. So, without delay he would have set out for his son and began for the last part of their venture. :: The raven had set out sometime ago and now was perched upon the compound waiting. Blue eyes narrowed against the darkness as a few other avian companions would be near. Some taking off and flying out across the skies disappearing into the night while others simply remained on telephone wires and hanging upon the tin roofs. :: * Kokuro had pretty much been snooping his way around the area hoping to catch the hint of the other's scent. Sometimes when the wind was right a hint of direction of his grandma would lift to his nares but there really were too many of those odd wolves about to close the distance and find out if he was right. <Faolan> The lackluster days spent in the confines of the harrowed land of man was nearing its end. He could feel closure with in the steps he took towards a clearer sense of danger and a finality that had never settled within a leaner stomach and frame. The corrugated silhouette of the tin structures would bemoan a quiet protest to the unseen presence of the wind, further pulling his senses of a seemingly lost, natural world towards the brink of unfamiliarity altogether. At the far corner of that very building, he paused and took to the scents that were offered to him. :: With each passing day there would be battles to be fought and lives to be won. Whatever paths would be before the wolves where of their own devices to find. The familiar sound of crows skwaking to one another in their fashioned communication would be well picked up by any wildlife. The streets where busy, more busy then usual this night for it seemed the dog fights would partake in another round this evening. Trucks, cars and the like where gathered in a dirt parkway. Men moving about, talking, laughing and drinking would be heard socializing before the events. Meanwhile, high on the tin roof, the Raven who had approached the wolf before hand would be settled on a metal beam that stuck out from the very top. His feathers ruffled as he kept an ever watchful eye out on who came and went, but it was more focused on the woods and surroundings rather then the humans themselves. Seeing movement of shadows near a building he kept his attention upon it. Would It finally be the wolf and his companions? :: <Faolan> The repugnant scent of humans drew thickly on the air he tasted, which brought a disappointed release of breath from his nostrils. He waited by the corner of the far building for sign of his son or cause to move. There wasn't likely much time to contemplate the next course of action while in the impending presence of the gathering. They would need to act, or so the voice of his instincts told. :: The Raven would look upon the shadows that would meld into the side of the building cast from the unnatural light nearby and around on the buildings. He kept his eyes on it for he knew what lurked in those very shadows. Once the wolves reached the compound they would be greeted by a drive way that would circle around. There was at least 4 buildings that would be in this circular turn around and one large brick complex nearby. The main complex itself would be rather large but for good reason. It had to accommodate a large variety of people. On the outside one would notice the outside pens that where all fenced in with rather expensive wiring and fence work. There where a few dogs on the outside but they all seemed to be asleep, paying no attention to what was going on in or around them. The hushed sounds of cheering and loud noises would reach any animal that was sensitive enough to pick it up. :: |
