| Welcome to X-Men: Days of Future Past. We are an alternate-universe X-Men role play with a unique dual-timeline system, where events in the past influence the future and, sometimes, vice-versa. Here you may create a mutant character, or play a canon character from the comics, animated TV series, or films, and set them in either the Near Future timeline, or the timeline of the 1970s. Both timelines offer different situations. The Near Future timeline is more political and personal drama oriented around the Institute and school, whereas in the 1970s, the Xavier and his band of mutants are more likely to act like cowboys than diplomats--a world of classic superheroes and villains. Both timelines contain their fair share of action. You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are some features you can't use. The Xavier Institute for Mutant Advancement
Sometime during the nineties, the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters evolved into a respected think-tank and advocacy group for mutants. Among the various goals of the Institute remains the education of young mutants under the new banner of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, now an accredited private school.
The goals of the X-Men, however, have not changed. They are still dedicated to setting an example for humans and mutants alike, and protecting even those that hate them from any threat.

Ryker's Island
New York's largest prison, home to some of the world's most dangerous superhuman criminals, including most of the Brotherhood of Mutants. Even after Erik Lehnsherr, aka "Magneto", was imprisoned, along with most of his followers, many terrorist operatives have been linked to the Brotherhood, with no explanation as to how they are still operating from behind bars.

District X
A New York slum populated primarily by mutants, especially those whose mutations are more likely to be an inconvenience than a blessing, and those that are unable or unwilling to fit in with humans. Poverty, crime, and street gangs are rampant.
