"There's a new man under the cowl. And he's going to do the Batfamily -- and the world -- some true justice."- Harrison McClane / Batman
Synopis
History
Origin Harrison McClane was born to Orwell and Margaret McClane in the city of Gotham. All of his life Harrison's father Orwell wanted to help people -- but on a grand scale. On a greater scale than just babysitting, tending to the neighborhood's weeds, helping old women across the street. Orwell wanted to be a crime-fighter. Margaret often had to take the role of the "realist" in the family dynamic, and she was the one who handled all of Harrison's school affairs and life issues while Orwell plotted and dreamed of being a real costumed hero. Harrison didn't feel ill towards his father for this, in fact he looked up to him. Margaret, on the other hand, resented Orwell for his dreaming. Now, none of them had a job. The McClane family had been established in America long ago when their predecessors had came upon a grand supply of oil, practically setting them up for generations. They even got lucky in the gold rush, adding more to the stored McClane wealth. Not to mention various connections they had established around the world merely because they are a high-class family. But this wealth drew a fair amount of hate, and the McClane's were often targeted by jealous citizens. When Margaret became terminally ill with breast cancer, none of the money in the world could keep the woman alive. She finally died, and Orwell grieved and took on a more responsible role and prepared to raise his child. However the funeral of Margaret McClane was made a public issue, all knew about the death of Orwell's wife. As they were leaving the funeral procession, Orwell was shot and killed. Naturally, Harrison was devastated by the losses. Afterwards his grandfather, George Hamilton, wound up taking him into his care. During his time living with George, Harrison himself was diagnosed with a severe form of cancer. However something emerged from within Harrison -- after all he'd been through he found tremendous willpower. And through the combination of money and will, Harrison made a full recovery.
Becoming Batman After beating his cancer, Harrison decided he wanted to do something productive with his life. He wanted to do something great. He approached George, his grandfather, and expressed the desire to do what his father could not on account of his life being cut short. He wanted to become the hero his father wanted to be, Harrison wanted to become the "Batman." Initially George was very against this notion, as Harrison was all he had left in the world. But as he realized how serious Harrison was about his dream, when he realized how much Harrison wanted to make his father proud, George agreed. The next several years of Harrison's life were dedicated to training and education, and it was discovered at this point that Harrison was a very quick learner. Around the time Harrison was in his mid 20s he'd officially began operating in Gotham as "Batman," running with a young lad who went by "Robin," and "Batgirl" who would go on to become Oracle. Eventually Robin would go on to "graduate" and move on from Batman's tutelage to pursue his own future, and Batman came upon another young lad who'd don the green domino mask and be Robin. However this next Robin did not see things as Batman did. He was much more brash, much more violent, much more quick to grotesquely injure and kill. This is the one Batman lost to different ways, the one who abandoned Batman to pursue his own future but in delivering justice in a different way. A way that went against all the Batfamily stood for. During his run as Batman he'd been out patrolling the town when he spotted a young woman in trouble. Batman had went to take on this gang of burly men, who were all jacked up on venom -- unbeknownst to him. As he took them on he was beaten brutally by a few who'd managed to initially avoid being defeated by him, and his cowl as knocked off. This woman could in fact fend for herself now and did so, defeating the remaining men and dragging Batman to safety. He'd fallen in love with this woman, and they soon after married. She chose to get in on Batman's operations and became "Batwoman."
The Batfamily Operating for a few years together, Harrison and Batwoman had a healthy marriage and a healthy crime-fighting duo. After a report of a string of car-strippings in the slums of Gotham, Batman and Batwoman went to investigate. Upon investigating they found a young boy who's name was unknown, stripping cars for money as he had no parents. Batman knew the pain of having no parents, but he also knew the joy of having a guardian to fall back to, who serves as a parent. And so Batman and Batwoman adopted this young boy, and together trained him into his teens to fight with the family. He came to be the next "Robin" and thus the Batfamily was born. While Batwoman was on leave pursuing a mission in an entirely different country, the Batfamily had expanded. With the addition of "Nightwing," Batman's first Robin, and the next "Batgirl," the new Batfamily became the worlds greatest crime-fighters. Their first great task was apprehending the Space Cowboy. Batman's first encounter with the Space Cowboy came after he'd rescued Superman from the clutches of this alien alien-hunter. After a couple of encounters, Oracle drafted up some potential weaknesses while Batman and Robin joined in. They eventually pinpointed a few weak points and ways to exploit it, at which point Batman had come up with a plan. Tracking the Space Cowboy to the sewers, Batman and Robin apprehended him while Batgirl and Nightwing fought Brother Blood. Batman and Robin had wound up apprehending and detaining Space Cowboy, the Batfamily having prevailed in their first major conflict.

Items & Equipment
Utility Belt:
Although seemingly unremarkable in appearance, the utility belt remains as one of Batman's most important tools in fighting crime. Composed of a leather strap and a solid steel buckle, the utility belt houses ten cylinder cartridges, which vertically clip onto the outside of the belt. The buckle itself contains a miniature camera and two-way radio. A secondary compartment behind the length of the belt houses Batman's supply of collapsible batarangs. Each of the ten cylinders contains various tools integral to Batman's war on crime. Through the years, Batman has modified, updated and improved the contents of his utility belt to accommodate various needs. The following list is a sample of some of the items that can regularly be found in the utility belt, but does not represent the complete definitive arsenal of Batman's equipment. No one knows what the Batman is hiding in his Utility Belt at any given time -- no one but the Batman himself.
Batarangs:
Sharp bat-themed throwing weapons that are capable of traveling in the same pattern as a boomerang if thrown as such. The Batarangs come in varying types, such as explosive, cryo-rangs, dual batarangs with steel wiring inbetween them, electrified batarangs, etc.

The mask is accessorized with some security systems (aggravating gas, electric blasts, etc.), like the utility belt, and integrates a transmitter receiver device de voice and video.
Leonard Al Ghul / Leon McClane (Robin) Robin. My closest partner, my only son. I look to him to take up my mantle in my passing, and I'd be lying if I said I don't think he wont be ready to when the time comes. I'd put my life on the line for him, but I don't think that he needs it very much. He's very capable of fending for himself, a remarkable fighter for his age. |[STATUS: LIVING]|
Allyson Weathers (Batgirl) Batgirl. My daughter, and Robin's sister. Just like her brother she is a very capable fighter, and one of my closest partners. I would die for this one, also. But again, I'm not so sure that I'd ever be put in the situation where that would be necessary. |[STATUS: LIVING]|
