Obviously, if you want to battle, you need a Xenosaur. To get one, however, you must follow a set of rules. 1. DNA and your Xenosaur Xenosaurs obtain many of their traits from the DNA that makes them up. However, its not so strait forward as picking the best stat from each DNA. All stats are created from the mean of the DNA's stats. For example: -Rexkeeper26 has Santanachelys DNA, Tyrannosaurus DNA, and Apatosaurus DNA. -He combines these DNA's into a creature- Apatochelys rex. -Let's assume Santanachelys has a defense of 10, Tyrannosaurus a defense of 10, and Apatosaurus a defense of 20. the mean of 10, 10, and 20 is 13, as stats are always rounded down, even if it is something like 20.9, it would still be 20. Size, unlike other stats, is picked completely by the player. However, cost is increased as size goes up. Since every tile on the board is 10 feet, an animal under 10 feet can only move one tile. One that is 20 feet can move 2 squares, and one that is 200 feet can move 20 squares. To add to this, if the size is four times as big as the largest DNA's size, stats are doubled. If its eight times, it is tripled, and so on. Health, like other stats, is found by the mean of each DNA. Once its gone, your Xenosaur is dead. However, it can be saved in three ways- 1. Defense. Every point of Defense saves half a health point, rounded down. if Defense is 1, no point is saved. If Defense is 2, 1 point is saved. If Defense is 5, 4 points are saved. 2. Speed. If the attacker is slower than its target or of equal speed, two coins are flipped by the battle host. If both are heads, the attack deals full damage. If one is heads and the others is tails, it does half damage, and if both are tails it misses completely. However, if the attacker is faster than the target, it will always deal a hit, except when a player activates certain abilities. Please note Speed is multiplied with size like other stats. 3. Size. If the size of the target is twice as large as the attacker, then only half of the attacker's attack does any damage. For swarms, the size used is of a single individual when calculating damage. Attack is completely strait forward, and is simply how much damage is dealt when something is attacked. 2. Abillities Abilities are special details that almost all DNA has. Abilities can do many things- -Can increase range of movement, including flight and diving. -Can increase or manipulate attack power, including venom and leap attacks. -Can increase or manipulate defense, including camouflage and poison. Each ability can be used many times throughout a battle, though using an ability always costs the user 100 Amber, except in there first battle, were it is free. Abilities will not take effect unless the owner of the ability orders it to do so. The only exceptions are innate abilities, which are, of course, free, and work constantly. Abilities MUST be listed on the profile, and can only be obtained from DNA. 3.Groups any Xenosaur from microscopic size up to 50 feet can be in a group. Please note your first Xenosaur cannot be in a group. If under an inch to 5 inches, the Xenosaur can be in a group of 1,000, meaning they do as much damage as a 100 foot creature. However, groups of 2-100 are 1,000 amber, groups of 101-500 are 5,000 amber, and 501-1,000 are 10,000 amber. From 6 inches up to 2 feet, a Xenosaur can be in a group of to 500. A group of 2-50 is 100 amber, a group of 51 to 100 is 1,000 amber, a group of 100 to 500 is 5,000 Amber. From 2.1 feet up to 5 feet, a Xenosaur can be in a group up to 100. 2-10 cost 1,000 amber, 11-50 cost 1,500 amber, and 51-100 cost 2,000 amber. A Xenosaur from 5.1-10 feet can be in a group of 10. 2-5 costs 1,000 amber, 6-10 costs 2,000 amber. From 10.1-50 feet, a Xenosaur can be in a pair. The cost for a pair is double that of the xenosaur as a single creature. Groups must always travel together, except for pairs, which can be moved individually. 4. Getting your Xenosaur Approved To use your Xenosaur, it first must be approved by a staff member. To have this done, it must have a picture, a completely filled out form, and must follow the DNA being used. 5. Cost Xenosaurs do, in fact, cost money, like their DNA. However, the cost is considerably less. For a SINGLE Xenosaur from under a foot to 10 feet, it costs 800 amber. For a Xenosaur from 11 to 30 feet, it costs 1000 Amber. For a Xenosaur from 31 to 70 feet, it costs 1500 Amber. For a Xenosaur from 71 to 100 feet, it costs 2000 Amber, and finally, for a Xenosaur from 100 to 200 feet, it costs 3500 credits. If the creature is a flier, a quarter of the price is added on. If it is fully aquatic, a quarter is taken off. The first Xenosaur is free, no matter the size. 6. Updating If your Xenosaur is outdated, you can upgrade it for no cost. However, if you simply are updating it because you want to change something, there are a few specific categories: * Size upgrades: Upgrading the size is the cheapest upgrade. A size increase of 20 feet or under is 600 amber, a size increase of 20.1-40 feet is 2000 amber, And anything higher than an increase of 40 feet is 2600 amber. Making your Xenosaur smaller is free, though note groups cannot become solitary and solitary Xenosaurs cannot become groups because of this. * DNA upgrades: Adding or removing DNA costs amber. Adding or removing any DNA will always cost 800 amber, though any abilities this DNA adds are considered separate and must be payed for if you want to add them. * Ability upgrades: Adding an ability costs 1200 Amber. Removing an ability is free. The only abilities that cannot be removed are dive and fly. The Appearance of a Xenosaur can be changed for free at any time. 7. Buffs If you feel your Xenosaur is lacking in a certain stat, you can increase its stats with buffs. A buff adds an extra 10% to the stat. Buff prices vary depending on size of the Xenosaur. This price is squared every time you add a buff, and each stat can only be buffed five times. Speed stats cannot be buffed. A creature with a Base Stat Total under 500 can get any buff for free until it reaches a BST of 500 or greater. An Upgrade for a Xenosaur with a BST between 500 and 1000's first buff costs 200 Amber. If the Xenosaur's has a BST of 1000 to 5000, the first buff costs 800 Amber. If the Xenosaur's BST is between 5,000 and 10,000, the first buff costs 1500 Amber. Anything higher than 10,000 Cannot be buffed. Edited by Flishstar, May 3 2014, 04:56 PM.

Not really, more like Impossible Creatures as a tabletop game. With dinosaurs. |

I completely forget what Card Battles is like so I wouldn't be able to tell you if Xeno was like it or not. XD |

Well, this involves math, so it's not much like CB. It's kind of like CB and GI. But with math. Not m*th. Math. |

Card Battles is, as should be obvious, a card game. Mostly it revolves around dinosaurs but we also have varrious other cards such as myth and Genome Inc. cards. So there are similarities... but they're far from being the same. |

Hey, Card Battles involves math too! Adding/subtracting HP when a creature gets damaged, multiplying/dividing for Weakness/Resistance and some abilities. It's just not nearly as complex as Xeno Corp (well, for the most part.)As DF said though, I see more similarities to Impossible Creatures ('tis a shame that there'll be no sequel) than to Card Battles. Personally, I'm going to wait until all the 0 DNA is completed, just so I know my options. Is there a size limit for our first creature?EDIT: Wait a minute, all the 0 DNA is done already? Geez that was fast. Well, I'm still wondering about the size limit.

Well I'd hope so, otherwise my description of it when I gave Flish the idea wouldn't have been a very good description.

In addition to my question about size limit, are we only allowed to combine three DNA? Or is that just the suggested amount? |

You can combine as much DNA as you want, unless its ridiculous, like 40 DNA. |
