The main story takes place in one of the many lands of the rift, a place of banishment from earth. There are creatures both native and invading present; that is there are the animals common on earth you may find yourself familiar with, and then there are creatures of fantasy and fiction e.g. winged beasts, men with scales, half-men, creatures of the sea and creatures of the sky. It is a realm sired by Dragons, but tolerant to all. There are tundras, petrified forests, oceans, islands, lakes, rivers, streams, coniferous forests, mountains, hills, cliffs, canyons, ect; it resembles earth in it's earlier days. The days the Dragons ruled. Time has since passed, and as the humans grew in number on earth so did their courage to fight those things which they did not understand. An ancient gate on earth leads to the hall of Rifts. Against the better judgement of the people, the Templar set out to rid their precious earth of all things they deemed abominations- that is anything not entirely human.

The Gate was at some point one of many on earth, a way for those who sought refuge in another land or another time a way to find it. Those humans dubbed 'normal' were intolerant of this as it allowed many a way to escape the law. From the viewpoint of those escaping, their law had become unfair and intolerant of the abnormal. Women and children drowned or burnt at the stake for the mere mention of witchcraft. Trials of death the only way to prove your innocence against a crime of immortality. The Last Gate was seen as the final tie to those inhuman, and many sought to destroy it among the intolerant. The Templar realized the power of what remained, and built a castle around this final gate, protecting it from those who would destroy it, and protecting the rest of the world from what might come through it. They began a war with any seen unfit to bear the title of human, banishing any they thought may be guilty, negligent of whether or not they really were. In this way, a human populous sprung forth in the land of dragons. Following them were witches and warlocks, the gifted and the healers, the Vampyres and the Elves, Dwarves and lycanthrope, Vampires were the last to pass through, though throughout this racist banishment humans of the normal kind also slipped through. These normal humans were by no means a large majority of the population, but they outnumbered any other single group or race.

Those humanoids with gifts or magic often kept lives to themselves in secluded corners of the world, settling wherever they pleased as the first through the Gate. Following them, the Vampyres found areas rich with minerals and quarries building magnificent castles for their bloodlines. The Elves made their homes in the largest forest of the land, and daring was he who entered without their invitation. The lycanthrope blended with the general population of humans, trying best not to arouse suspicion as they had on earth. Dwarves, among the last to make their home here split into factions and were vulnerable as they began hollowing mountains as their homes. Vampires, being the cursed and fowl things they are, formed innumerable small camps throughout the land and acted as bandits stealing what they could to survive. Dragons held council throughout the banishment and invasion of these races over the years, and concluded to tolerate them, so long as they were not bothered on their mountain tops, in their oceans, and in their jungles or tundras.

Triskle is a small town formed under the Second Kingdom- that comprised of human and lycanthropes- and is several miles south-south west of it's ruling castle. Nearby to the west is a small wooded forest home to nymphs and wood spirits, but otherwise unsettled. To it's north is a river which crosses under the main road of the kingdom, and loops to the east of the castle spawning from the mountains north east of it. To the south lie a plateau like hill stretching into a meadow.

A good basis, but we'll need a more defined way to start the rp. Mark this as ooc and use it as a discussion?
