Courtney-

Here's a like about OU's alleged hauntings...

http://www.forgottenoh.com/OU/ou.html

I went out on youtube and watched the show you were talking about and realized I knew the guy who did the tour for the show. He and I had a German class (I think, it might have been Spanish) together when I was there. How very random...

LOL...I hear ya Robin! I actually find very few people who are as passionate about bands like I am (and the Duranie/YV fans I know)...i just call it my 'vice'. Some people drink, smoke, do drugs, are addicted to gambling, etc......I am just addicted to bands and concerts! Not necessarily cheaper than other vices, but a heck of a lot healthier!!!

Haven't been around in awhile, but I'll play. :hi:

(It's so interesting reading about everyone else.)

1. I have an identical twin sister.

2. I have seven tattoos. Eventually the three on my lower left leg will be a sleeve and only count as one.
By the way... a lot of tattoo artists will not tattoo if you've been drinking. At least all the ones I know won't.

3. I have gotten used to and like the feel of the tattoo gun's needle on my skin. Hurts like a bitch, but I see it as a badge of honor and the reward is awesome. I actually dozed off toward the end of a five and a half hour session last year. (The ones on my leg are big.)

4. My seventh great grandfather was William Dampier, cartographer and buccaneer. He was the first Englishman to explore and map Austrailia and circumnavigate the world three times. He has also been credited with over 1000 words in the Oxford English Dictionary with words like barbecue, chopsticks and avocado. Pretty cool, huh?

5. I love going into cemeteries and taking pictures. Sometimes even at night.

6. I love fire, but I am afraid of burning to death. And drowning.

7. I have been to over 100 concerts.

8. I was named after two songs: Claire from the Gilbert O'Sullivan song (which I hate with a passion) and Michelle from The Beatles

9. My sister and I had our own language when we were little. Not sure what happened with that. We can still look at each other and sometimes know what each other's thinking, but we haven't gotten the telepathy thing down yet. :giggle:

10. I am OCD about certain things, but not about all. For example: If I have a drink sitting on a coaster, it has to be in the direct center of that coaster. And I will fidget with it until it is. Weird, I know.

die Zwillinge- I have got a TON of cemetery pics, and we mostly only go at night....part of the thrill I guess. Ever get anything interesting?

blondiesmum...I saw a Duranie at a show in 2005 that actually had a belt buckle with that symbol....but she wouldn't give up her info on where she got it. Some people are so rude!

I totally agree. Music is definitely my "addiction". I don't think there is such a thing as too many concerts". :giggle:

My Turn!!!

1. I am extremely lazy, but when I actually do something, it has to be PERFECT.

2. I am a major clutz. I have around 15 scars, and have had too many stitches to count.

3. I have a problem with digression. When I tell stories, I usually end up telling another story and then I forget what I was trying to say in the first place.

4. My grandpa's second cousin married Terry Fox's mum (Terry is a Canadian Cancer hero guy... Google him if you don't know who he is).

5. I was named after Robin Williams. Mum just changed the letter because she says that "Robin" is the boy spelling, and "Robyn" is the girl one. She's weird.

6. I HATE it when people damage books. When people write in them, I actually sit and ERASE stuff. :P

7. I've starred in 4 school musicals - each time doing at least one solo - I'm a singer. The plays were Robin Hood, The Jungle Book, It's A Small World, and Annie (I was Miss Hannigan. HAHAHA!).

8. My great grandpa was an engineer and help build the ice rink in my home town, and my great grandma lost a leg to diabetes (long story). My grandpa was 12 years older than my grandma... also about 2 feet taller. He was sooo tall. And she was just a shorty. His name was Ed, and her name was Matilda... we called her Tillie. He was a collected man, and she was a loose cannon. They were opposites. Opposites attract? :D

9. If something happened to George (my first guitar - sunburst Yamaha acoustic), I would cry. He's named George because there are many great Georges. Lucas, Harrisson, Clooney... Michaels! (HAHAH!, KIDDING). It's really just Lucas and Harrisson. They're awesome. Star Wars and the Beatles. What can be better?

10. I'm extremely allergic to cats. Like, if I pet one, I have to go to the emergency room and they have to stop my lungs from closing (I also have asthma, and my allergy to cats triggers it). So, I am forcibly a dog person. I'd probably love cats if my allergies weren't so bad.

:P

How did I miss this thread?! It's so interesting and I'm afraid to post cuz I don't have anything that great to tell. I think my 10 facts will be mostly freaky traits I have lol. Lets see what happens....

1. I was born with flat lungs and rushed straight into intensive care and my Mum didn't see me for 2 days. When the nurse said 'OMG, she's flat' my Mum was convinced I was actually flat and that's why she couldn't see me lol

2. I'm very bubbly and outgoing but have a BIG phobia of public speaking. Work that one out!! I talk for England but as soon as I'm put in a situation where I have to stand formally in front of people, I want to die! I even get this feeling if I'm just sitting talking to someone if I actually think about the fact that I'm on the spot and the sole attention is on me!!! Yes I know, I'm weird!!!

3. My left arm is a bit wonky after an childhood accident. Sam and I were dancing on a table to Adam and the Ants and when she jumped off I fell off fracturing my arm in the process! The docs thought I was gonna lose use of it altogether but it just healed a bit funny. Here's a pic to show you what I mean...

4. I have 3 nephews but no children of my own......yet!

5. I was christened Spiritualist and believe there is life after death. I visit a medium at least once a year and have received messages from loved ones since their passing. I find this a great comfort especially when I hear from my Dad who I lost 5 years ago.

6. My musical tastes are very diverse and music and concerts have always been a big part of my life. It's a passion Sam and I share and we have many fab memories.

7. I used to be a cleanliness freak both house and personal wise. I couldn't leave the house unless I'd had a bath, washed my hair and put make up on which was a pain in the ass when I just wanted to nip up the shop lol. If house work needed doing I obsessed until it was done. I'm a lot better now, you can write your name in the dust upstairs lol but I'm still very anal about certain things. Everything has a place and I can tell if things have been moved a millimetre lol.

8. Most of my friends are fascinated by my eating habits. I inspect my food real closely and cut off the tinest bits of fat and anything dodgey looking. I also pick out onions from everything because although I like them, they don't like me!! I also apparently smell everything before I eat or drink it!!

9. I'm not sporty, musical, artistic or creative. I guess that's why anyone that is fascinates me. How I wish I could draw, sing or play a sport or an instrument!!

10. I don't have any tattoos but my ears and belly are pierced.

You can wake up now :giggle:

Awww, Sarah! Dancing around to Adam and the ants?! My sis and I used to do that, too :frantic: ! God! He was great, wasn't he?! Thank goodness your arm healed and you were able to use it again!
And born with flat lungs! How scary!!!! Funny mom thought you were literally flat, but so scary!

How did I miss this thread for SOOOOOO long!!!!! :(

Well I've gone and caught up reading it now! Claire good to see you, I wondered where you girls had disappeared to! Everyone has such interesting stories, I don't think I can scrounge up ten things that will be of any interest to anyone! Not after reading your interesting things! Hmmm.

1. I was born on Friday the 13th, so I'm not superstitious and consider it lucky. Tonja (tonja from texas) was also born on a fri the 13th.

2. My son Ben, 7, is the light of my life. He takes drum lessons and got a full tama drum set last Christmas. He loves video games, of course, and he's got a freakish amount of band and music knowledge in his head. His first concert was MuteMath and Matchbox 20.

3. Ben likes to touch the soft skin between my left thumb and index finger, he has found it comforting since he was about two. Weirdo. I don't wish to have a tattoo but if I did I would probably put something there for him, he's the only thing in this life I can know for sure I'll always love.

4. I'm very opposed to war as of course many people are. My dad's dad was killed in WWII and my dad never met him. Being fatherless with a devastated mom has taken a huge emotional toll on my dad, still does, and as a result also had effects on me, and well I just think war is senseless. Always. I am very much looking forward to our next election!

5. I'm a teacher (fifth grade) and I'm in charge of our school's student council. Our biggest project is a food drive we do before Christmas and we're very proud of it. Our kids bring in cans of food and then we literally make the food the "star" of an assembly we have by putting all the food on the stage.... it is quite a sight, the last two years we donated over four tons of food to the local food bank. We also raised $6000, which actually allows the food bank to buy $120,000 worth of food thanks to government funding. Our school is the top contributor in the county, beating out all other local school, colleges and businesses. This upcoming Christmas will be our sixth year and it gets bigger every year. I spend most of December going nutty over organizing this food drive, but it's always so exciting when it's all sitting up there on that stage, and it's probably the best thing I help to accomplish all year.

6. I'm afraid of IMAX movies and viewing things through microscopes and binoculars, so I don't know what the fear of enlarged images is called, but I have it to some extent. Also afraid of spiders and failure, so I have avoidance issues.

7. I started this forum 48 hours after hearing Your Vegas for the first time. :blush2: Like all of you I was instantly hooked and I knew I had to talk about them! And I'm so glad I'm not talking to myself in here!

8. I don't like cherries at all or even cherry-flavored things. I would make an exception if Your Vegas were cherry-flavored.

9. You'd never know it to look at me, but I love to exercise and in particular strength train. I've had a trainer for the last several months and I absolutely love it, he has really helped me step it up. Not wild about cardio machines though. I get bored.

10. Music is my favorite passion, I can't perform it but I couldn't live life without it. My dad and grandma got me hooked, my grandma would play Peter and the Wolf when I was very little and I found it fascinating that someone could tell a story with instruments. Music makes me very happy, and other than the people in my life, brings me the greatest joy.

Sorry this was so long. #11, I am a chronic apologizer :ha: and have been attempting to stop for years, but I have given up.
