Is anyone else in here a Posted Image freak???

My friend Libby has been obsessed with this saga since she got the book for Christmas. When the movie came out she took her son to see it & then went herself a few more times. When the movie moved to the cheap theater she talked me into going to see it with her. I was reluctant at first & could care less if I seen it or not. After the 1st trip to the movies she wanted to see it one more time on the big screen so I agreed to go again. At this point she had seen it 6x's & Me 2x's.

I have since purchased the DVD & have watched it every day sometimes twice a day. With the commentary & without. I have totally been bitten by the Twilight bug!

Please HELP!!

I enjoyed the movie...but I enjoyed the books more......I just was not happy for their pick of Edward....don't get me wrong Robert is a nice looking fellow....but he is NOT beautiful enough to be Edward......Robert has a bit of a chiseled look to him....sorry just my opinion....but he did a decent job, I am still not happy. I hope New Moon will be better, since now we get to see more of Jacob .
I am on the fence I loved both Jacob and Edward. I don't think they showed the clutsy/almost comical side of Bella. But of course I made the biggest mistake and went with my husband who sat there and talked smack the whole way through the movie.....you know- "Psht, like that would really happen"..SHUT UP and let me enjoy the movie please!

Have you read the books???? MUST read the books! LOVE THE BOOKS!!!

I have yet to read the books. I need to go buy them as Libby keeps re-reading hers so I can't borrow them from her. I did read Midnight Sun, the partial draft that is on Stephenie Meyers web site. Then I began reading the 1st chapter of New Moon that is on her site as well.

I am going to read the books though.

as for Rob. I think he is handsome sometimes.....it depends. Some times I see him & I think ewww..... Other times I am like "Oh YEah" so no I have to say that he is not as beautiful as Stephenie makes him out to be in the book.
I totally agree with you.
And I think it would've been great if he got to keep his english accent. Although I do have a thing for boys from England :naughty:

Oh yeah...Love the British Boys :swoon:
I know what you mean...I have gotten flack for not liking Roberts look.....I think it is that he has a nose that looks like he has been in the boxing ring a bit to much....But I will see him and think the same thing....."Not bad looking and then I will see him from a different angle and ehhh-so-so."

I can't wait to see what Taylor (Jacob) brings to the table in New Moon. He is almost to "pretty" in my mind's eye to be Jacob....but I can deal with that. I am hoping New Moon will be better than Twilight.....I guess I am still just disappointed with Edward (sorry Robert) and I will probably never cease to throw a bitch-fit about it!!

I saw this for the first time last night!!! :swoon: :swoon: :swoon: :swoon:
Ok, I was liking the DAD- Doctor Cullen! The other guys were just too young for me to get all in a frenzy over :ha: . It was a good story, I've always thought the vampire-theme was hot :heats: :heats: :heats: !

Debbie, I SO hear you on seeing it with the hubby. I swear, I was gonna smack the $hit outta him if he said they had bad makeup jobs one more time :annoyed: !!!!

I just don't have the time or patience to read the books right now. I did like the movie, though!

Michelle... when you have a little bit of time, the books are actually a very quick read. I wasn't sure I would them when a friend was encoraging me to read them last summer, but they actually ended up being quite good. I think i actually like the books better than the movie.

I totally agree the books are a quick read. You will be amazed how fast you fly through them...... I need to watch the movie again without my dude.

I always like the books better then the movies....the movies always seem to disappoint me...other than the first 2 Harry Potter's the rest start leaving out to much.

my friend Libby read all four within a month & a half (she had to order the last 2 from Amazon, she got a better deal). I think when you start you just can't put them down. At least it was in her case. I have to buy them. She said Twilight was only about 5.00 at walmart. I just cant remember to look when I go there.

I just got New Moon & began reading it. They weather has been beautiful so I can only get thru about a chapter a night since I cant bear to be tied to a book or anything else at the moment. We havent had many great days lately. I hope to be done with it in no time...

I finished the first book a few days ago.

Honestly? I wasn't too impressed.

If the author/editors had taken more time with the story, I think the writing could have been tighter, the characters and dialogue more realistic, etc. A few more revisions would have been a good thing for this book.

I have the other three (the full set is on loan to me from a Twilight-obsessed friend) but I'm on the fence about starting #2 if it's just going to sound like the first.

I am curious to see the movie, though. Maybe it's the sort of story that's just better on big screen...?

Since my last post I finished New Moon & Eclipse. I liked Eclipse.
I am now more than half way thru Breaking Dawn.

I am really enjoying these books although things don't often go down how I would like them to.

I have not read this much in years! I love escaping into another world that is not my own.

Finished Breaking Dawn.
Great series!
I really enjoyed reading these books.
I do not however, have the urge to re-read them like many people do.
Maybe that makes me weird??
Who knows.
I can not wait for the movies.
