- Roleplay rules and requirements ルールと要件
-
Greater recognition will be given to those who roleplay in the character manner, those who don't or find it difficult will be picked up by admins or mods, or by other high standing members in the community. Following these Rules and Guidelines, will help employ a greater understanding and balance to the way in which everyone roleplays. We promote a descriptive style of roleplay with as singular character, and openly allow emotive if both party's accept the conditions set by the emotive scene. For an Emotive encounter to occur permission by all the people fighting/contributing within the scene must grant this to happen. For me to elaborate on what "Desc RP" means, simply think of is a descriptive style which allows for greater immersion as well as a much more balanced roleplay experience.
Example one Non Desc RP Attack:
-grips down my blade- -cuts down the chest- -rips the skin down- -rips the flesh down- -rips the muscle down- -breaks down the bone- -rips through the heart
Example two Non Desc RP Dodge/Avoid/Removal of Weapon:
-dodges it down left- -brings my body off it-
-rams the blade off me -sends it out of me-
-grips the blade down- -sends it out of me-
[Note: Again take into account word limit is 5-6+ lines depending on circumstances]
Desc RP Dodge/Avoid/Removal of weapon:
-bringing my body to the right of your attack- -my body propelling from the point of origin, distancing myself from the attack-
-bringing my body down in the direction of the blade's swing, stunting the momentum- -the blade would bring itself off of my body as i move away from it-
-gripping onto the hilt of the man weapon as it hits me- -prying the mans grip bringing the blade out from my body-
Explanation: Noting the way in which you move when you dodge, remove the weapon or avoid the target, it should be noted that this information is neccesary as counter-attack chances seem more possible for both the target and yourself. For instance if you were to grab the weapon, the target could state to overpower you. If you were to move, the target could re-focus his attack or ninjutsu towards where you are now.To a degree, although a complete emotive environment is not compulsory, collectively as a community we would like to see some emotive environments, whether it be fatigue or to be factoring in the fact your target is in fact stronger.
Example three When Facing a Man with Eight Gates, Without Emotive Elements:
-blocks the attack the man sends to me, ceasing all possibly damage-
When facing a Man with Eight gates, with Emotive Elements:
-sending my hands up to my chest as a guard, cushioning the MAJORITY of the blow- -my body would skid along the ground after recieving the blow, bruising my arms. Explanation: For those who do not know, The eight gates is an elite Taijutsu (hand to hand combat), which strengthens the body's muscles and makes them faster and incredibly stronger. People within the eight gates show lightning speed depending on which gate they unlock, simply blocking someone who has unlocked anything above the Second gate is close to impossible without some form of injury, this is not to discount the use of a replacement as a feasible way to avoid or diminish the effects of an attack. By emotively accepting some damage, however minor, as a result of blocking such an attack you exemplify the chasm that exists between an elite taijutsu master, and someone who might excel in genjutsu alone.
Chasms in rank should be taken into account, not to say the Hokage or Jounin are godly superiors who cannot be harmed. Logically however, a Jounin will display a higher chakra pool, greater ninjutsu potency, greater taijutsu etc. This is not to exclude the fact you can catch them off guard, such as playing a simple prank onto them if they were your jounin leader. We wish for you to act in a manner which is going to exemplify the nature of your rank, or the path you which to take. A Genin, no matter how talented is but a rookie of the shinobi world when compared with a Jounin or Hokage.
Example four A Typical Prank Scenario as a Nara Clan Member:
-bringing my arms over my jounin leader, bringing myself into a hug- -from the corner of his eye, i infuse chakra through my kunai which resides in my left- -dropping it onto his shadow, the chakra projects up the shadow into the body- -the chakra ceases the movement of the body thus paralysing him in place-
Explanation: If done with subtly there is no reason for the Jounin to suspect this, or in fact respond to it until the effects have been enforced. Pranks and such similar to these are happily promoted by council members, putting the Jounin in their place and removing their godlike status some people embed themselves with due to the ego which comes with obtaining a rank of power.
Playing a Prank on the Hokage Using a Harem no Jutsu:
-bringing the chakra over my body, causing it to shift throughout my body- -forming my hands into the required seals, the chakra fuses throughout my body- HAREM NO JUTSU! -a cloud of smoke bursts over my body, the chakra replicating itself around me- -as the cloud of smoke begins to settle, many hot and appealing female figures emerge- -the hokage, catching site of the beautiful women, would be subjected to a vigorous nose bleed-
Explanation: Everyone loves gorgeous women... Unless the Hokage's Gay
Example of a Removable -bringing my blade down to the shoulder joint of your right arm- -the blade would tear itself into your shoulder, tearing past the skin- -it would cut down the flesh, slashing through the nerves- -slicing through the flesh and nerves, it would pass through the muscle- -it would hack into the bone, piercing through the calcified cartlidge- -it would tear through the otherside, cutting the arm off from the joint-
Example of a break -sending my hand onto your leg as you kick onto my body- -brings your leg down onto my own, inverting the motion of the joint- -the leg compresses down onto the kneecap, causing it to concave on itself- -bending the leg over your knee, crushing the bones within it -the kneecap shatters, breaking the leg down through the middle-
Both of these are valid means of breaking or removing a limb, and are perfectly valid ways to inflict damage upon someone. Damage such as this lasts for a total of twelve hours, at the end of which the wound/limb is either replaced or mended.
To Knock out a target, a total number of five lines + initial is required to be performed.
Example of Knockout -my hands pry around your hand, grasping firmly onto the back of your cranium- -sends your head down onto my knee, slamming it into your temporal- -the force shocks through the body's skin, the force projecting upon the bone- -it reverberates through the brain, the force concaving the skull onto my knee- -the knee continues to force through your head, rattling the brain and the head- -you fall back landing on the back of your skull- -the force of my knee would send you into unconsciousness-
Being Knocked out lasts for a total of ten minutes however can be less if those scening leave the area, or in fact tell you otherwise such as stating oocily "You can wake up now if you want []." However being knocked out can last no more then ten minutes and the victim is more than welcomed to wake up from their Knocked out state.
Death due to it's nature in this Roleplay, requires the same number of lines as a paralysis, which is 6 lines + initial. Please read the death set of rules before commenting on the nature of this decision if you have not done so before.
Example of Paralysis via weapon -arcing my arms across my body, a kunai projecting from my right sleeve- -the kunai would slam into your back, tearing into the body's layers- -the kunai pierces into the skin of the target, tearing into the flesh- -it peels back the flesh as it passes further into the body- -it connects with the muscle tissue, tearing it from the bone- -the kunai collides into the posterior of the spine, shattering it- -it cuts the spinal nerves in the back of your spine, paralysing you-
Paralysis via poison (After slipping the poison into the drink) -consuming the poison with your drink, it would pass down into your mouth- -it would flow down through the throat, moving into your stomach- -the poisonous toxins would diffuse through epithileal tissue of the stomach- -it moves into the blood stream as it moves through your body- -it moves towards your brain and nerves, binding to them- -it eats away at nerves of your body, destroying your neural processes- -the poison completely eats away at nerve tissue around your body, paralysing you-
Both of these are reasonable means of PARALYSING someone, although proficiency in poisons is required for the latter.
Example of death via weapon -bringing my katana up from it's sheathe via the hilt, projecting it out- -i project it up into your neck, slicing into it's direction- -the katana makes contact with your neck, peeling the flesh back from the body- -the katana passes the flesh entering the muscle tissue around your neck -it continues to enter the neck, destroying the bone on the back of your neck- -it cuts through your trachea, tearing through the tissue- -it continues to cut through head, ripping it off from the body- -seperates the head from the core of the body, sending it off with a flick-
Example of death via ninjutsu [After The chakra and jutsu for Fuuton: Daitoppa has been performed] -the wind projects itself from my lungs, bursting towards you via my mouth- -it collides into your body, sending you back due to the force of the blow- -it slams your body back into a tree that resides behind you- -your spine and body wrap around the tree, your body bending back- -the body bends back, compressing the spine as your body snaps back- -your body continues to bend as the wind slams into your body- -your spine snaps out of place, rupturing the nerves in the spine- -the spine dislodges frmo it's place, tearing through your body- -unable to sustain the damage your body falls down limp and lifeless-
Keep in mind these are examples, and not the BE ALL END ALL way of killing people. Creativity is bliss, and is promoted in this community. Killing/injuring in new means is much greater then actually seeing the same -kunai to head- we see from those who spend a larger amount of time in Star Wars Roleplay©
Although these rules are in place, each action requires some degree of reasoning supporting the action performed. An accident in training is more than likely to produce a broken bone, or to knock someone out based on an accidental IC basis. Re-occurent "ACCIDENTS" will result in ooc discussion, however in most cases severity such as breaks and knockouts should be avoided where possibly unless placed in an actual fight.
We hope these rules produce some sense of clairty, and provide well enough tips to those foreign to the AuNRP Nature, Thank you for taking the time to read this Ruleset, we look forward to see the Implication of these rules.
