Just continue with your weekly "Edison Medicine" (AKA "electroshock therapy) and it will eventually go -- just like everything else has.

You adopt a Buddhist philosophy. You don't erase all memories but you learn to let go. Each phase of your life is a chapter. That chapter is over and you are onto a new one. But that chapter is part of your story and should be looked back at with fond memories of the good times and wizened experience of the bad times. But it's part of you. Don't erase it. Just look ahead at the next chapter unfolding before you.

Thank you, r3, we feel a bit better now.

The Buddha said that all life is suffering.

Well, he was fat so it probably was for him.

Life is really all in how we see it. One person can be single and miserable because of it, wondering if he will ever find a companion. Another person can be loving the single life, getting to do what he wants, when he wants, without having to run it by someone first.

Two people in the exact same situation but one is happy about it and one is sad.

Life is what you make of it, how you look at it.

Forget the meat that gave you misery and look forward to the mouthwatering meat yet to taste.

We know an eldersister (87) who said, on the subject of relatiaships: "I'm ok with or without it".

Since she happens to be rich and also has 10 inches that is easy for her to say!
