I'm mean I've been called to jury duty 6 times in 12 years since I've moved into a new home. Before moving here I've was called 3 times total. I know so many people who have never been call or called once the their lifetime. We are all in our late 40's. WTF?

Anyone?

Yes, there is a jury list. Each state has their own way of compiling their jury pools. And then you have the federal court system who uses their own methods. The various ways I know of are...

Voter registration list
Driver's license records
Property tax records

You'll be called more if there are less people in your district than in your old one.

Then they'll get you with your DL or your tax records.

I was called for JD by Fulton Co. Superior Court a few months back, but I was able to get out of it with a letter from my orthopedist. An official I spoke with at the court said they would remove my name from the list so hopefully I'll never get summoned by them again. But that still leaves all the city, state, and federal courts.

The other two i can"t do anything about . I will say since moving to my new home years ago I've voted in EVERY election big and small. That's the only change in my past habits. No more. I'm going to test it.

When they interview you for a case, give racist answers. They'll never ever call you again.
