Let me tell you, in a contest between kissing him and licking the gum stuck underneath diner tables, he gives the gum a serious run for it's money.

One can definitely still be sexy at 62.

But that...no.

I'll give him this. His latest round of surgery has definitely made his face look better. Not great, but better. Now if he'd just cut and style that filthy hair and dress like a normal human being I think we'd be amazed at how much better he would look.

Can you do something about the leathery skin and trashy tats?

The tats can be removed (over time), but that Naugahyde he calls skin is beyond repair. The thing is, he could look infinitely better if he'd just clean up. But I get the feeling he's going for a "look", and clean cut ain't it.

Well I've always been into daddies, so am generally much more forgiving about things many gay men are not.

But in his case, it appears hopeless.

He doesn't scream "daddy" to me. He seems to scream "Wanna buy some meth and do it in my trailer?"

Not my thing.

Would a few skin resurfacing treatments help him? I remember his gorgeous days...

I'm afraid not. I've seen in close ups that he now has the dreaded "chicken skin" on his neck and chest. That comes from excessive sun exposure and there's no going back from that. If he lives another 10 years he'll become a human crackling if he keeps up with the tanning.

Love you rhymes, sugar walls.

I personally think he's sexy as hell. I'd do him in a heart beat. Unwrap that package. Sample those goods. I'll be the still has the smell of Kim on him.

:eek Is this his homage to "Weekend At Bernies". I found a dead body once after it had been in the water for a week that looked better than his friend.

Damn, that was creepy. Peck is trying to drag the old broad off stage and she won't go. That is like a Saturday Night Live skit.

Judy Garland talks about Dietrich. Funny, and so true.

Strange to think of a day when people on talk shows knew how to talk instead of just push a product . . .

Even though it's an accurate description of Dietrich, clearly like most of Judy's "stories" she told on chat shows, this was probably grossly exaggerated or completely made up, but it was entertaining. Being entertaining is something most people in the entertainment business seem to have forgotten about these days.

I've never been a fan of Judy Garland's singing or acting, but she seems like a wonderful raconteur.

An elderfishsister was at Marlene's final concert in LA in 1975.

Said she: "Honey, the audience was ALL queens - not one str8 person"!!

"I hope there's not another side".

Now THAT'S the gold standard.

I saw her during that last 70's tour at the Fairmont in Atlanta. Judy is correct in one thing she said. When I saw her she sang not a single note. She just came out, stood next to or sat on her stool. and while her orchestra played she spoke the lines of the song as if she was reading for a part in a play. Of course no one cared. And no one came to hear her warble. Everyone came just to see Dietrich at least once before she keeled over. She did look fabulous though. I've never seen so many pink spotlights in my life. There light shining off her milky white complexion gave her an otherworldly look.

I'm afraid I've never seen Vadge. And I have to be brutally honest. If she was performing in my living room, I probably wouldn't leave my bedroom to watch, other than to tell her to hold down the noise. :rofl

But I have been fortunate to see some great old entertainers in my time. For decades I had a season-pass to the old "Theater Of The Stars" program which brought many of the major stars of the day through Atlanta.

We saw Miss Lee in performance many times and even sat on her sofa in her living room chatting with her in September 1987.

Indeed, you were the inspiration for her song "Is That All There Is?"

Miss Lee was always delightful in person, but we noticed that she had a sterling silver ruler on the end table next to the sofa.

Was she perhaps a sizemologist?

He was right. I totally understand it now.

Miss Lee recorded at least 60 takes of that song before she did one she liked but the final take that was released was not that one.
She said that she knew "from something in the percussion" that the song would be a hit.

Maybe, had she been sober, she might have gotten it in the first take.
