![]() Walt Heyer (left) was a happily married, 42-year-old man with two children when he decided to undergo a sex change operation. After eight years of living as Laura Jensen (centre), he realised the mistake he had made and reverted back to being a man (right). Now 74, he believes he should never have been allowed to have gender reassignment surgery. Walt, from Los Angeles, claims that if surgeons had evaluated his mental state properly, they would have discovered his desire to change genders stemmed from psychological trauma as a child. Controversially, he claims hundreds of others are making the 'same mistake' because the vetting process is inadequate but experts told MailOnline the checking process is robust. The man who's had TWO sex changes: Incredible story of Walt, who became Laura, then REVERSED the operation because he believes surgeons in US and Europe are too quick to operate Walt Heyer had sex change to become a woman when he was 42 years old After eight years living as Laura Jensen, he reverted back to being a man He believes the desire to change gender stems from psychological trauma Heyer controversially disputes that Gender Dysphoria is a genetic disorder Now 74, he acts as a counselor to those considering a sex change surgery Psychological vetting of patients before operation is inadequate, he claims Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2921528/The-man-s-TWO-sex-changes-Incredible-story-Walt-Laura-REVERSED-operation-believes-surgeons-quick-operate.html#ixzz3PwnczYSP Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook |

We knew a fabulous trans eldersister who remained that way until she perspired at the age of 74. She loved pinga and she HATED fish! Edited by Erna, Jan 26 2015, 12:52 PM.

I think there's little doubt there are some people who have this done thinking life will be much better as a different sex, only to find out later that it's not. And there are obviously some who do go on to have better lives. But the way the medical profession (especially plastic surgery) has evolved in this country I have little doubt that there are plenty of surgeons who will do this surgery without regard to whether or not they're doing the right thing by that patient, and are only doing it for the money. One only has to look at the celebrity freak show of plastic surgery disasters you can see all over the internet. No ethical surgeon would keep operating on some of these people procedure after procedure, knowing full well they're turning them into monsters. |

I think most of the people who go this route have issues of mental illness that never get resolved by hormones and surgery. |

It is interesting that the medical profession seemed to long ago stop talking about transsexuals being physically one sex but genetically & chromosomally the opposite sex. I remember this being the main basis they used to get the courts to allow someone to have sexual reassignment surgery (back in the days you had to have a court order). These days it appears anyone simply tired of their life can go in and get the surgery. I wonder if it was the medical lobby that got the requirements so drastically reduced.

Judge: And on what legal basis are you petitioning this court to change genders? Would-be Tranny: I like the shoes. |

What a horror story. But I'm the wrong person to comment on this. I could never imagine giving up my dick. |

How can the surgery be reversed? |

Clearly a M2F procedure could not be fully reversed unless they've come up with a way to transplant a penis. But a F2M I would think could be reversed, but I wonder what the reconstructed poonanny would look like after all that mangling. |
