http://www.actionnewsjax.com/gallery/classifieds/real-estate/photos-35000-square-foot-georgia-mansion-listed-14/gCQk5/#6717486 Not my taste, just to much of everything. Why 5 kitchens? The white cabinetry is gross. |

That cabinetry finish in the kitchen is called "pickled". I generally like that finish, but in this case it's just overdone, as is the rest of the house. But I must say, the price is outstanding. I'd love to have it, but I'd have to immediately start ripping out much of the frou frou and gilt. And what's with that stupid wrapping paper room? Who do they think is going to buy that place, Candy Spelling? |

5 kitchens, 8 bedrooms?, 17 bathrooms, 14 car garage?, fresh flower room with refrigerators, and the place was never lived in by the owner(s) who sunk 40 million into building it I get the feeling that it was built as a business for the purpose of weddings, parties, formal receptions, etc. very nice place |

That's not a home. That's a hotel.

Every time I see a house with a "Gift Wrapping Room" I think of mom. And want to drain every drop of blood out of her pummeled corpse. |

Have to admit it's beautiful grounds and most of the home. It's just to much of a good thing. Still haven't found out why the owners didn't move in. Did they go broke, jail. die? |

On the tax rolls the value is 2.6 million of course the owners are llc. How much should one pay over appraised? Just wondering. |

In Georgia property valuations for tax purposes are figured at 40% of the state assessed fair market value with other factors added in, such as the $2000.00 homestead exemption, to get the final appraised value. The tax valuation basically has nothing to do with how much a property is valued for private sale. The area that property is in is very popular. If it was located in the south metropolitan Atlanta area the asking price would be considerably lower. That property is obviously priced to sell and sell as quickly as possible. I have to think someone involved is in serious financial difficulty. There's probably a good reason the seller(s) don't want to be known. |
