The Imitation Game

Last night we saw "The Imitation Game" with Benedict Cumberbatch playing Alan Turing. What a great, important movie. This film really needs to be shown in schools, everyone needs to see what a key contribution a gay man made to the war effort and to the world-he literally invented computers and provided the intelligence to defeat the Nazis then was destroyed by his own country because he was gay.

Alan Turing and his work and legacy must be kept alive and celebrated. If it weren't for this gay man Hitler would have won World War II. His life and accomplishments and the discrimination and hate he suffered are epic in proportion.

If this movie is still in a theater near you, go and see it. If not be ready to buy a copy on DVD or rent from RedBox or Family Video. This film is as important to our history as "Milk" or "Brokeback Mountain."

It is that good.
