Marriage Equality

What is it about marriage equality that has right wing crack-pots so in an uproar? Does anyone have an explanation?

Is it an acceptable means to persecute and vocalize their hatred for gays and lesbians? Why are they so threatened? What impact or threat does this have on the vast number of het marriages?

I am really perplexed.

"In 1963, something happened that changed the civil rights movement. For the first time, six major organizations working on civil rights issues came together to support what they called the 'March on Washington' to demand the passage of pivotal civil rights legislation. My friends, it's 1963 in the fight for marriage. And it is time we march. I can't promise you that we will have a historic speech like Dr. King's 'I have a dream' speech, nor can I promise you 250,000 people will come to Washington, but I can promise you this: we will march for a true and just cause, for the civil right of Americans to enjoy the benefits of natural marriage, the union of one man and one woman, the foundation of society and the cradle of civilization. And I can also promise that this year's march could be as important to the cause of marriage as the 1963 March on Washington was to the cause of civil rights. Please help us make this critically important march a success by giving a donation right now." - Hate group leader Brian Brown, in his seventh money beg in ten days.

They're products of their environments. These people grew up in families where intolerance and idiotic fear of anything "not like us" was literally beaten into them all their lives. They know nothing else. They believe whoever feeds them what they want to hear. There is very little hope for people like that. They have to die off little by little and successive generations who are raised in a different era develop more open attitudes about social issues. It usually takes something drastic and life changing to happen to people like this before they'll change their ways of thinking.

I tend to agree with you. I had a work friend who shared that in her family, she was taught homosexuals liked to dress and prance in frilly women's clothes and hang out in bowling alley restrooms watching little boys pee.

She confessed that when she found out I was queer, she always wondered if that is what I was doing at night.

I had to laugh. After work, the only thing I can do is flop on the couch, micro some food and fall asleep in front of the tube.

One of the many sad facts about humanity is that many people simply are not happy unless they're unhappy, about one thing or another. If there's nothing to be unhappy about they'll more often than not just pick something, and people who they think are not "our kind" are very often prime targets. They rant and rave because it gives their lives a purpose.

Then you have the people who love to jump on some social hate bandwagon just to feel as if they're part of an "in" crowd. Again, it gives their lackluster lives a purpose. And they feel it makes them look to themselves and to some others as if they're "above" those people they rail about.

If there was a God he or she would have destroyed this planet eons ago because far too many human beings have to be some of the most unevolved, dumb creatures that ever existed.

Yes indeed.... FOX News plays into that with their "Outrage of the Day" each morning. Let's get all these old fart viewers all worked up and constipated with some perceived wrong doing by the nasty liberals.

Since I finally got FOX news on cable now, I love love love Megan Kelly and her "I just ate a load of excrement :crap look on her face when she's outraged over some trivial story. :lol

I've seen a little bit of that cretinous blonde sow on the internet. Enough to see that if her IQ was one point lower she'd be a rutabaga.
