Gorgeous views. But it is NOT Warhol's anymore. It is owned by the CEO of J. Crew, hence the kitschy Americana decor. |

Yes, I couldn't imagine that place was still part of Warhol's estate after all these years. The man's been dead for 28 years. |

I think it is really beautiful.......the setting, rustic nature. Although it looks a bit isolating. A bit far from a Costco or wal mart! But at $85 big ones, you must have people for that! |

If I could pay $85 million for a place to live, I'd have a Costco on my property! :rofl |

I'd be like Streisand and have a mall in my basement. My very own Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, Marquee Cinema, Moe's and the anchor stores would be Kohl's, Macy's and Target! |

That place could use some painted ladies, it looks like a polygamist compound. |

It's true. The basement is set up just like an enclosed shopping mall. They did a bit on it on some show a few years back. I knew then the woman was certifiably nuts. http://www.tabletmag.com/scroll/174797/streisands-private-mall-gets-a-new-shopkeeper |

We would rather have Babs' place. What do you think it is worth? Edited by Erna, Jun 28 2015, 05:56 AM.

As of a year ago, this article claimed her Malibu property was worth at least $100 million. Pictures at the link. http://www.starmap.com/barbra-streisand-100-million-dollar-homes/ Here's more on her silly basement mall. http://parade.com/49049/janicekaplan/0820-inside-home-of-barbra-streisand/ Edited by Tybee, Jun 28 2015, 07:22 AM.

If that price is true then her property taxes might be 103k per month but she might have a lower assesment. But it would be WAY up there. Also,Point Dune, if that is where it is located, is not really Malibu in our view, it is getting dangerously close to Ventura county(= undesirable) Edited by Erna, Jun 28 2015, 06:34 AM.

Ca property taxes, 1.25%, are based on the original sales price as the basis. Prop 13. |

I came across a book about it at Barnes & Noble. She's got a great voice and all, but she's pretty self-indulgent and not very self-aware. At least she donates to the right causes-that makes her spoiled kookiness a bit easier to stomach. |
