It's like something from a sci-fi movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC3VTgIPoGU |

That was amazing! Thank you for posting that. What was the thing coming up in middle? It looked like a huge frozen whale. |

I took it to be a tremendous chunk of clear ice. But it also looked rock like. |

It was too big to be a whale, but it looked like it had eyes (I suppose rock formations). I have a greater appreciation for how silly myths get started. |

The fact that this glacier has retreated more in 10 years than it did in a full century is terrifying. Global warming denialists will still insist it's all a fraud though. Edited by Tybee, Jun 30 2015, 12:55 PM.

It does mimic the appearance of a whale breaching. I think it's the portion of a massive iceberg that was under water.

Glaciers form, glaciers retreat, the earth warms, the earth cools - has been thus since the formatia of the earth. Follow the money trail and you will find the politically well-connected slimebuckets who are fanning the global warming $cam and reaping millions from it. |

How did the photographer happen to be there at the right time? Who sent him and who paid him? Lot of questions. |

It's so cold here in CNY. Hard to believe The 4th of July is only 4 days a way. It feels more like late October than the last day of June. But, I can see for myself that global warming/climate change is real. The wild tiger lilies are in bloom (2 months ahead of schedule) and even black-eyes susans are starting to come out and they are one of the very last plants in the season to come to flower. There should still be plenty of wild flowers in September, but it seems lately that plant life sort of peaks mid-summer. The earth is changing and it is ominous-but I do wish it could get a bit warmer here. The winters have been brutal and now even summer is chilly. I haven't used the pool once this year. It really sucks. |

It got so hot here, so early that I'm hoping for an early fall. No idea what happened to Spring. |

We're in the middle of a massive storm right now. The temps have dropped from the mid 90's down into the 70's in less than 30 minutes. Lightning struck a 100' tall pine in the back yard a few minutes ago. Now I'll have to have the county aborist come out and look at it to see if I have to have it cut down. Oh well, at least I don't have to water the Cannas, Caladiums, and the Taros today. |

Here in BCN it was a hot sunny day and a glorious evening where we walked along Paseo Joan Borbo with our AA friends and Pepe the Schnauzer after our 8pm meeting, stopping at various snack kiosks. https://www.google.com/search?q=passeig+joan+de+borbo+barcelona&safe=off&biw=1280&bih=685&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=SvuSVdbfCsq1UYPbgOgC&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAw#imgrc=AIUM8QgrbJRpyM%3A Edited by Erna, Jun 30 2015, 03:27 PM.
