After the #SCOTUS decision last week a great year this is to celebrate the nation's birthday.

(Unfortunately it's not even in the 70's here in CNY and thundershowers are predicted. I wanted to go in the pool and do fireworks later... Looks like it will just be another "homeworkday.)

Apparently not. Labor should have a day off, but this year it doesn't look like they will.

Here in the 3rd world there is a national holiday about every 2 weeks.

We are making our plans to move up north to the real world.

Hope everyone had a happy 4th. I have my best friend, his son (my godson) and his friend here until tomorrow. I'm really feeling very old today as the 2 boys wanted lunch at The Pirate's House yesterday and then some time at the beach. By last night I was so tired I couldn't move. Lord only knows what they'll come up with for today. I just hope it's something that doesn't require me to expend much energy. :lol

Ditto on hoping everyone had a happy and safe 4th. It was unusually quiet in my neighborhood, which I didn't mind. The going to the beach thing, I despise the sand. It gets in your clothes, car and home. A person can vacuum, vacuum, vacuum and still find sand weeks later.
