I saw Frank Sinatra in concert. It was very late in his life and my parents bought the tickets. He was awful. It seemed as if he resented being there. |

He got to the point he didn't as much sing the songs, but just spoke them. Frank should have retired in the mid 70's. |

We paid to see him in 1983 at the Universal Amphitheater in LA. He reminded us of an old drunk and we left disappointed, but the Buddy Rich orchestra was FABULOUS> |

Once his vocal abilities went south people went to see him, not hear him. He could have taken a dump onstage and people would have given him a standing O.

It was the same with Miss Peggy Lee - her fabulous and distinctive voice went in 1976(strokes, etc) but she still sold tickets for nearly another 20 years even though she had no voice left whatever. |
