Sharks do not like human flesh. They bite because they think it is a seal or something else. Notice that after one bite they leave. |

The ocean is: 1) the toilet of the planet; 2) a graveyard ("swims wif da fishes"); and 3) a jungle, with carnivorous beasts who want to eat you. The idea of a little human flopping around in that cesspool is appalling. |

You know, tourists would be surprised how many sharks are enjoying themselves off Diamond Head. I've really never been bothered. I freak out totally at a Manta Ray passing by than some doofus shark. But then, they probably realize I'm an old, stringy, tough, way past the sell date slab of gristle and just feel sorry for me. I mean, they're not THAT hungry. |

I wouldn't have to worry about it because if I was swimming in the ocean and I saw a big shark coming my way I'd drop dead of a heart attack right then and there. It's for that very reason I have never gone in where the water was above my waist. I figure if I see one I'll be able to get out of the water in time, hopefully. But get on a surfboard way out in the surf, looking all the world like a juicy seal from below? No fucking way!
