I have to admit going to Gawker is sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. I've stayed away ever since they outed David Geitner's (closeted-married to a woman) brother for trying to solicit a male prostitute. What makes it so nasty is that he was sort of blackmailed by this sleazy hooker and it appears that Gawker was actually helping the blackmailer by running this story and the guy is the CFO of Conde Nast, a company they consider "the competition." Have any of you guys been following this? What do you think? (I sort of miss my daily "snark fix" and I am still going to i09 and Defamer which are part of the company anyway.) |

Followed it intently on DL. I think they ran this whorish, trashy little tale because CN is a competitor and it bit them in the ass. The rent-whore sounds unhinged. Sounds like the whole lot of them deserve each other. |

I think these days if you're a famous person, or a relative of a famous person (especially a politician) you'd better be VERY careful about how you operate your personal life. The media wolves seem to be working even harder than usual to find something on anyone that might help increase the notoriety of whatever outfit they work for. |
