We have a big bowl of fresh fruit every morning and we share an apple with Pepe the Schnauzer. |

1 apple at lunch and dinner, religiously. I have a pear tree on the property and they started getting ripe a couple weeks ago so I've been eating a couple a day, sliced and pan fried in butter. And I've been eating lots of Scuppernongs the last few weeks, but the vines are now empty. I also eat a lot of peaches in the summer, but they're all pretty much gone now too. Looking forward to fall and winter and loads of oranges and tangerines. My blueberries didn't produce this year because I cut the plants back after they produced last year as they had gotten so huge it was impossible to even get to most of the berries. The new branches aren't mature enough to produce fruit. But when I come back next summer they should be full of berries. Edited by Tybee, Sep 21 2015, 03:07 PM.

I've never had a dragon fruit. I saw some at a big international farmer's market I shop at in Atlanta once and was going to buy one, but I got distracted and left without any. |

And I must say I do love a good ripe mango. I usually will eat at least one a week. |

Anther popular fruit I didn't think I'd like here is Lychee. Grows in clusters on a tree. I miss a good old fashioned pear. (of course, I don't like my girlish figure resemble one now but that's a different story...) |

I absolutely LOVE lychee. I get them canned in syrup and put them in the freezer until the syrups gets partially frozen and slushy. Deeeeeelishious! I do the same thing with canned fruit cocktail.

Please post a picture of Pepe eating an apple. My Schnauzers also loved apples and even red and green bell peppers. |
