https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgmRPNp5RbQ This is a long documentary , about an hour, on gay men and meth. I watched the whole thing. I really had no idea. Quite an eye opener. For those that may be interested. |

I've seen that documentary. It is well worth the watch. It has blogger Mark S. King who has the blog titled 'my fabulous disease ' where he constantly writes about raw/bb sex, and how he smokes crack rocks before or during raw/bb sex, and he brags about how he has had other STDs, and could have became POZ from Rock Hudson in the 80s.

That's the kind of exposé that makes you realize how good you've got it to not have turned out like that. |

Since this is anon board I confess the desire to try meth and see what all the fuss is about. That's the adventure side of me. After seeing that, I've totally quenched my curiosity. This dove tails nicely with the Danny guy from Who's the Boss revelation. His addiction to meth caused him to become sloppy in his sex life practices and now is HIV+. |

I've always heard that meth is like crack in one way. For many people apparently after one hit of either they're immediately addicted. Scary stuff.

Don't do it. A lot of people get addicted the first time they use it, and it will not solve your problems or make you happy. Do a Google search for threads about crystal meth on bluelight or writings about addiction on erowid. I think that guy form the sitcom was already HIV-POSITIVE long before he used meth. |

If perusing The Faces Of Meth website doesn't scare someone off using it, nothing will. http://www.facesofmeth.us/ |

Why are the sisters so obsessed with 'Tina'? |

The documentary covers the issue. The drug masks how society marginalizes the lives of gay men. I personally don't believe in that generalization but those in the film seemed to put forth that as rationale for their drug use. Is the term Tina a gay thing? |

I had always heard it was a shortened form of "Christina", but I couldn't remember more of the reasoning beyond that. But I found this. In the gay community, crystal meth was shortened to just crystal. Then it was nicknamed "christina," as a code word, which also carried a double entendre reference to Joan Crawford's daughter in MOMMIE DEAREST (a gay camp movie favorite). "Christina" was then abbreviated to "tina," and is often abbreviated to just "T." The drug's also nicknamed "the bitch." |

Millions wasted on pointless "prevention". People will do what they want anyway. http://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/us-department-justices-office-community-oriented-policing-services-awards-nearly-18-million |

I have heard from Eldersisters who were around in the 60s and early 70s that even then sisters would take uppers like legal prescription meth-amphetamine like methedrine that was prescribed, and crank/meth that was sold by dealers. |

We knew eldersisters who took Desoxyn and stayed awake for days. (We assume they are no longer with us) |

When was this? In the 60s, 70s, or 80s? I know a woman who took black beauties and probably prescription methedrine in the 60s but she could easily get them from a fharmacia or from a doctor in her country but she got addicted to those, downers, and did this to lose weight but she has an eating disorder or did in the past. :( |

I think the problem is that so many people claim it makes sex great. And it apparently makes gays incredibly horny. They can have sex for 12 hours+ at a time. But it also makes the equipment not work, which is why so many Tina Queens are BB bottoms. |

Yes I have been told they get into FF because they get so butt hungry from the crystal. |

A drug that makes you incredibly horny, but also perpetually flaccid. Where do I sign up? <Rolls eyes> |

If it doesn't make you flaccid, it makes you engage in self pleasure for hours/days without release until the end when you're coming down I guess from what I've been told by men who are into it or did use it at one time. I've heard that MDMA/MDA are the same way; but my ex boss who is hetero was into taking those. |
