I met her and her former husband many years ago in Atlanta where they had a home. I was very old friends with their accountant and was invited to a little function they had at the house once. All I can say is if her husband didn't know she was into women when he married her he must have either been deaf, dumb, and blind at the time, or a closet case queen in a marriage of convenience.

Was she famous then? I read how she was deeply closeted when she played tennis.

Oh yes, that was during her heyday, but before she came out publicly. She was more masculine looking and acting than her husband Larry who was a big wig on the business side of the tennis world.

How could he not see she was a lesbian? Ray Charles could see it.

He obviously got something out of it like $$$, or access to other famous people since she was famous at the time.

Absolutely he did. He is/was a lawyer plus one of the guys who started World Team Tennis. If he didn't know all along he has to be one of the dimmest lawyers who ever lived.
