For any of you who use Avast and are suddenly experiencing the intermittent popups of your Avast UI saying "online content not available - please check your internet connection and try again", here's what I've found. I've gone to the Avast website and tried to bring up the "account" panel manually and am unable to do so. It was timing out, then it started coming back with an "internal server error". I called Avast and waited on hold for over 45 minutes until I gave up. Then I started doing some sleuthing online and found the site below that checks a website to see if it is running OK or having issues. The original message I got back was the Avast was experiencing a service interruption. Then it said Avast was up and running, but that people all over were still saying it was down for them. Obviously Avast is having some sort of issue this morning. http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/avast.com.html Edited by Tybee, Oct 8 2015, 07:49 AM.

I've been out and it appears Avast has gotten their service disruption under control. |
