I was afraid from the get-go these guys would end up being targets for every idiot out to prove their manhood. Hope he pulls through. His condition is said to be critical.

One of the three heroes who thwarted a terror attack on a French train over the summer has been stabbed and is in critical condition, according to reports.

U.S. Airman Spencer Stone was reportedly stabbed repeatedly in Sacramento, Calif. early Thursday morning. CBS News was the first to report the incident.

The U.S. Airforce released a statement confirming that Stone had been "transported to a local hospital and is currently being treated for injury. The incident is currently under investigation by local law enforcement. He is currently in stable condition."

A defense department official also confirmed the stabbing and Stone's condition to ABC News.

Early reports on the stabbing did not identify Stone as the victim. A reporter on the scene for local affiliate KCRA said that according to police, a man had been stabbed several times in the torso and was not at first expected to survive. Police reportedly told KCRA that they were prepared to investigate the incident as a homicide before learning the victim was expected to recover.

Army National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos, who was travelling to Paris with Stone when they stopped an attempted attack on their train in August, solicited prayers for his fellow hero and his family on Twitter Thursday.

Skarlatos, who is now a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars," lives in Roseburg, Oregon, the scene of last week's fatal shooting at Umpqua Community College.

Apparently this fracas happened as they were leaving a gay bar. That doesn't mean he's gay obviously, but I wonder if this was some sort of gay hate crime.

OT, but in all other news articles, the media doesn't identify a crime scene bar as a hetrosexual club. Why is this description germane to the story? Could it be to cater to the phobes...... well it was a queer bar so he deserved it.

If it was determined to be a hate crime, then that description would be valid.

Harumph.

Seeing as how it came from the Daily Fail I can guarantee you they wanted to insinuate something. That's their style especially when it involves Americans. I think most of the writers at that rag hate Americans.
