I'm not surprised the savage Chinese wanted to eat this tiger. This shocking footage captures the moment a rare Amur tiger cub destined to appear on a restaurant menu was rescued from the black market. Russian police intercepted and seized a box containing the endangered big cat, which was in the process of being traded illegally by smugglers. The rare cub, also known as a Siberian tiger, was captured by poachers possibly after its mother had been shot and it is believed that preparation was in place to export it to China. ![]() http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3269578/Rescued-dinner-table-Shocking-moment-Russian-police-intercept-rare-Amur-tiger-cub-smuggled-black-market.html#ixzz3oZVUikJt Edited to correct links Edited by Tybee, Oct 15 2015, 04:55 AM.

The tiger cub was befriended by a larger lion cub called Boniface, who was also saved from illegal traders in a separate incident![]() http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/10/12/16/2D54766E00000578-3269578-The_tiger_cub_was_befriended_by_a_larger_lion_cub_called_Bonifac-m-11_1444664191136.jpg |

PacificstGeorge, Utopia, United States, 1 day ago Once the Chinese eat the last tiger or lion, they'll simply ask what's next. It so strange to me, they don't try to protect what they must know is a dwindling resource. They just want to be the last one to gobble it up and then ask what's next in line. They eat pretty much anything and everything. I have heard in rural areas in times of famine or crops not growing they even ate people.

I believe the practice of eating dogs and cats started many decades ago when millions of people in China were starving to death because the corrupt communist government would/could not provide enough food for everyone (the same thing N. Korea is still going through). I can only assume that the practice eventually found its way into the more affluent levels of the population. Regular dog & cat meat may be cheap, but I can't imagine the price for tiger meat would be cheap enough for the hoi polloi to afford. To this day, and even with all of China's newfound riches, there are still millions outside the cities who live in horrible poverty. Edited by Tybee, Oct 15 2015, 05:02 AM.

They also practice cannibalism, and not just in times of famine but as revenge or forcing people to eat human flesh! http://www.chinasucks.org/cannibalism.htm |
