Snagged a hardback copy of Joan River's "Diary Of A Mad Diva" at Dollar Tree. On page 5 and already laughing my arse off.

I also bought a copy of Chelsea Handler's "Uganda Be Kidding Me". Grew to hate her, but what the hell, it was $1.

Love the Dollar Stores here. So much crap to buy that I don't need. A trip to Dollar and then to Costco.....Heaven on toast points. Although I'm picky on their food items. $1 for salad dressing made in China....I'll pass! Hard to believe Joan baby is gone. |

Never buy any food items from a Dollar store. It's either out of date or has a sketchy history. Dollar Tree has those round aluminum tins with the lid so many restaurants use for doggy bags. I buy those things 20 at a time. They're great for storing food items in the freezer. Love their kitchen towels too. Another item I'll buy 20 at a time. Oh and the boxes of aluminum foil in the individual sheets. Love that stuff.

I love Dollar Tree too. One of the best deals are their greeting cards. Large variety, and either $1 or 2/$1. I found an exception on the frozen food. Chudleigh's Apple Blossoms. They're from a farm in Ontario, Canada. ![]() |

You're right, I had forgotten that they now have a frozen food section. The store nearest me down here in the middle of nowhere didn't add the freezers until last year. I'll have to look for that item. Here's an interesting site listing good and bad buys at Dollar Tree. Of course even at $1.00 a pop you still have to watch out you're not overpaying. I've seen lots of items at Dollar Tree that are cheaper elsewhere. NEVER EVER BUY ANY OF THEIR BATTERIES. I suspected they were junk, but I bought a 4 pack of AAA's once just to see how long they would last. The batteries they sell are already at a 50% or less charge and I suspect are rejects from the manufacturing line that are passed off to deep discounters rather than dumped in the trash as they should be. The things last about a week or so and go dead. http://asparkofcreativity.com/what-to-buy-at-dollar-tree/ Edited by Tybee, Aug 14 2017, 08:05 AM.

R5, may I come over to your house and re-grout your kitchen tile surface? Thank you. |
