Endive salad with walnuts and pieces of real roquefort cheese,, whole wheat rolls, pepper steak done to perfectia with a heavenly sauce, real french fries, water, fromage avec meil for desert, delightful atmosphere and all for a grand total of 10 euros including everything(tip not required in Europe) needless to say we eat here every day. http://imgur.com/a/pno7T Edited by Erna, Aug 14 2017, 12:20 PM.

That sounds quite nice for only 10 euros. I have to assume this place is way off the tourist route, otherwise their prices would be much higher. I learned long ago in Europe you must avoid the places where tourists go at all costs. |

It is right in the middle of tourist central, right at Place St Michel near Notre Dame. but in an area that seems common to French cities, where there are perhaps 60 or more tiny restaurants next to and facing each other all serving more or less the same stuff but the intense competitia ensures quality and low price! You just pick a place that is packed with customers and you can be reasonably sure it will be OK.

It seems to receive good to excellent ratings with the majority of people. Of course you'll always have the malcontent who hates every meal every served to them who give a bad rating. https://www.tripadvisor.es/Restaurant_Review-g187147-d968180-Reviews-La_Petite_Hostellerie-Paris_Ile_de_France.html |

It seems to be a small family-owned and operated deal. |

Place looks adorable and so picturesque. How I wish I could see Europe. (115 here in Thermal and even the misters are just spraying hot water) |

Those are usually by far the best places to eat. They have a manageable selection of dishes and the food is the type the proprietors like to eat themselves so they're very good at preparing it. Restaurants that have huge multiple page menus are a joke. |
