I had no idea. This is like someone's retirement savings. Unbelievable. With nearly a year to go before the fixed-roof two-door and its soft-top counterpart arrive in showrooms, Mercedes didn’t announce pricing. The outgoing S-Class coupe started at $123,675 for the S550, $165,675 for the S63, and $237,175 for the S65, while the 2017 S-Class cabriolet started at $132,325 for the S550, $177,325 for the S63, and $248,825 for the S65. There’s no reason to expect a significant departure for 2018 given the limited changes. |

Link. http://www.automobilemag.com/news/2018-mercedes-benz-s-class-coupe-convertible-receive-powertrain-upgrades/?wc_mid=4035:8592&wc_rid=4035:1423143&_wcsid=9457DA578EEF942C19B31E6DC7785DA40E945B777BD17F8D And I was outraged to pay $17k for my Honda Civic. Can you imagine getting a door ding on one of those MB? Looks like a Palm Beach chick car. |

I'll take either of the following at someone's earliest convenience. 2018 Bentley Mulsanne ($415,000.00) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmmtFZWw7o8 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom ($505,000.00) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Yi1ZW3rznU Edited by Tybee, Sep 5 2017, 12:47 PM.

I see plenty RR, Bentley etc up at the Ralph's on Jefferson here in La Quinta. It just cracks me up to see some frail, 100 year old, bottle blonde broad behind the wheel schlepping a trolley for groceries. I always try to park next to one or MB or other luxe car cuz I know I won't get a door ding on my civic. I think spending anything over $30k on a car is ridiculous. |

Of the two, I think the Bentley wins by a squeaker because I love the subdued rear end. Can't imagine how much an oil change and tire rotation must be!!!

R2 here, just posted the link as proof that these cars are so expensive. They have pix and frankly, nothing special in my eyes. I guess the purchase of expensive cars must make people feel good about themselves. |

I believe service on a new Bentley or RR is free for the life of the machine. I know with RR you don't even have to take your car to the dealership. They come and get it and bring you a loaner and then bring your car back when it's done. I assume they do the same at Bentley dealerships. |
