http://www.ajc.com/gallery/classifieds/real-estate/private-quarters-jordan-mcauley/g5XZ/#2729715 I like the painting of the marsh and the faux painted column. The animal heads are annoying. |

He lives just a block or so down the street from me. I have an old acquaintance who lives in that building. This kid's apartment is very small, and I don't care for his decorating sense, but he looks like a cutie.

Very nice condo BUT, that wall covering of the woman in yellow sunglasses is awful. I can't imagine having to see that as the focus of the room day after day. Why? |

And, the view is awesome. I'll bet the night fall and lights is very romantic and beautiful. BTW, no comment from Our Lady of Soup about the owners bountiful basket? |

Here's a night view from that building. It is pretty spiffy. That white fortress looking building down below in the OP's image is the Federal Reserve Bank. Good place to live next door to!

Wow! I love that kind of City view as the traffic lights come up, buildings are aglow. Beautiful. Suburban quiet is just not for me. |

I'd KILL for that view! My building is just on the edge of a large heavily forested neighborhood to the back, and from the front I just stare into the windows of office buildings and a W Hotel. The tree view from my bedroom is nice, but the city view from the living room is VILE.![]()

People who don't know Atlanta might assume your back view is of downtown, but it's not. It's uptown. |

Yes, I've had many people say "oh you have a nice view of the downtown skyline". Uh...no, that's the Buckhead skyline. Of course then they assume Buckhead is another city very close by.

Telescope Time!!!

Oh trust me, no telescope is needed, at least at night. Over the years I've seen some very interesting sights through the windows at the W Hotel. Some people don't seem to understand (or care) that people can see them when they're standing at the window naked with the lights in the room on. About a year ago 2 idiot girls fell out of a 10th floor room in that hotel, on the other side of the building. They were apparently having a big PARTAY and they were said to be rolling around on the floor "playing" and they rammed up against the lower part of the window and crashed through it. One hit the pavement 10 stories below and was killed and the other one fell onto a glass awning that covers that side of the building entrance and she survived. |

You can just see Mrs Patrick Campbell fanning her mussy and purring, "Pleasure us, Mandingo lover!" |

The condo looks great, although that last photo is from Stone Mountain, not the balcony. Also, the concrete looks a bit cheap in that building, I'd stay away from the railing. |

Or Kennesaw mountain. The point is the distance photo is not from the condo. |

What distance photo? There is no distance photo in the AJC article. Are you talking about this photo?

You live in Colony Square? What's vile about that view? All offices? And you have a Moe's Southwest Grill right in your complex, no? |

It's not all offices that's a Sheraton at the left, right? You probably can see some jerking hotties, different ones every night. The grass is always greener, Tybee.... |

The hotel has been a W for several years now. Staring out of your windows into office windows is not a very nice view IMO. But the view from the bedroom, over Ansley Park makes up for it. |

I used to love this old mansion sitting on top of a giant retaining wall on 15th. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2532/3725175640_ba750f6d02.jpg |

I guess it's a garage, not a retaining wall, but very in your face. |

Before it was the W, it was the much cheaper Sheraton. I remember one night looking across to the hotel (when I used to live across the street) and something caught my eye: White globes in almost all the windows. At first, I thought the hotel had put new (ugly) lamps on all the tables. But then I discovered that the hotel was hosting a transvestite convention. I was seeing Styrofoam wig stands in every room. |

It started out as the Atlanta branch of the Fairmont. The joint was gaudy and bawdy back in those days. Everything was red velvet and gold gilt. In 1975 I saw Deitrich warble there in the Venetian Room during her 10 day run. |
