I fear the public will vote it down. http://votesmart.org/elections/ballot-measure/1664/amends-constitution-changes-constitutional-language-describing-governmental-system-of-separation-of-powers-makes-grammatical-and-spelling-changes#.UJlr-2corzI |

The Official Summary says that the measure seeks to amend the state constitution to, among other things, " modernize[] spelling". I can't find the full text for examples of what spelling would be affected, but I'd never agree to have my state's constitution amended to read as if it were a text message composed by a teenager: "nite" for "night", "lite" for "light", "2" for "to" or "too", "U" for "you", etc. |
