Gays still hold a slim lead in Maryland with 57% in, but many precincts in Baltimore County have yet to report. We won Frederick County! This is looking good. In Maine, we have a slim lead but only 23% have reported, much lower than the number reported for other races. This may be worrying, if results are being held back. In Minnesota, we are winning the Mpls St. Paul area, and right now ahead of Obama! However the margin 58-42 if it sticks would not win us the state (unless we had a huge miracle in Duluth). But only 13% in, and no need to worry yet for either Obama or gay marriage. Washington State should start reporting any minute. |

In Washington state, gay marriage has a slight lead with two west side rural counties and one suburban county still to report. It is not clear what percent of the vote has been reported by the counties that have reported. With 93% counted, we have a lead of over 50,000 votes for gay marriage in Maryland! With 67% reporting we had a slight lead in Minnesota to reject the antigay constitutional amendment, still running ahead of Obama In Maine, we lead 54-46% with 67% reporting, but not the very conservative northern counties. |

Same-sex marriage, along with 'feminism' are part of the 'divide and conquer' strategy of the NWO master criminals to eliminate the middle class by destroying the family unit. (But they are both gold-mines for the lawyers!) BTW, we couldn't care less what anyone does as long as they don't bother us or make us pay for it! Edited by Erna, Nov 7 2012, 04:39 AM.

Just my 2ยข, but it's unfortunate this even has to come to a vote. A human being should be allowed to form a legal family unit with any other human being of either sex as a matter of course, not because the rest of society has agreed to allow it. IMO, "married" should not hold any legal status at all, but rather a simply non binding religious status. If 2 people (whatever their sexual orientation) want to form a legal family unit they should be required to enter a domestic partnership agreement, signed by a judge or any other appointed representative of the court. If they also want a certificate of marriage, they should have the option to go to an official of the church who can pronounce them "married in the eyes of god", present them with a pretty church document which means nothing to anyone but themselves, and gives neither party any authority or privilege over either one.

It's official. Anti-same sex marriage constitutional amendment defeated in Minnesota by 52-48% with 99% counted. This is only the second time one of these has been defeated. The first time, in Arizona in 1996, they came back and passed it in 1998. This time is significant because the wording was a fundie's dream: to define marriage as one man and one woman joined together. |

Same sex marriage won in Maryland with almost 52% of the vote despite a huge effort by Catholics and black preachers to stop it. |

Neither Maine nor Washington have released election results, so we are stuck with a lead but no idea what the current count is. Washington will release more at 4 p.m., which is a ridiculous delay. The Maine Secretary of State does not appear to intend to publish anything. |
