http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/tamerlan-tsarnaev-and-family-received-welfare_719056.html This is why the welfare system in this country needs deep reform. |

I totally agree. But once we legally allow these refugees to come here we have the moral obligation to see to it they're supported, but only to a point IMO. Rather than giving them a helping hand and a time period by which they must become self supporting we enable far too many of them to be long term layabouts on the public dole. |

Excuse me while I don't get all riled up by the hatemongering from a couple of rightwing tabloids. |

Apparently the mother is a bigger loon than we thought. She's making crazier and crazier statements to the press. I had thought the bomber's parents went back to Russia after she was convicted of stealing the clothing from Lord & Taylor, but it appears she skipped out on her court date for the theft accusation. She's subject to arrest if she comes back to the U.S. to see her son. So I'm betting she won't be returning any time soon. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2314024/Zubeidat-Tsarnaeva-Mom-Boston-Marathon-bombers-said-does-care-son-killed.html |

http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/04/the-lives-of-the-boston-bombers-what-we-do-and-dont-know/ They had a white Mercedes wagon that was in the shop, round trip airline tickets to Russia, 2 one way tickets to Russia, wife working a low pay job and welfare. Sounds like they were scam artists of the worst kind. Who is stuck with the 19 year old hospital bill? Mercedes does not get good gas mileage. |

Muslims love Mercedes. There's a large Mosque on 14th street here in Atlanta and if you drive by during a service you'll see a parking lot full of Mercedes Benz's. I'm betting the one those boys were driving was probably some old model. Old Mercedes are cheap. |

We have observed many many cases of welfare queens and kings in the USA and Europeover the past 25 years. Usually 'permanently disabled' people who are perfectly physically healthy and living full and active lives, often working full time for cash on the side. Their 'excuses' are everything from fish who say they were 'abused' to sisters who claim "HIV" to those who claim to be 'suicidal'. Every single case was obvious fraud, yet perfectly legal! Whenever there is free government money being handed out there will be mostly all fraud. |

Well, "mostly all fraud" is a bit far reaching. But I agree that any time there is money doled out from a government you'll have lots of people looking for any way possible to get their hands on some of it, whether they qualify for it or not. |

Now they're saying the wife of the dead brother was also convicted of shop lifting (although before she met him). http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2314214/Katherine-Russell-wife-Tamerlan-Tsarnaev-arrested-shoplifting.html |

I don't know what to believe about the wife, I do think she knows a lot more than she's letting on. Sweet and innocent, no not IMO. |

When I think of the wife, I think of the foreign gal in Chicago on murderer's row. "[unintelligible] [unintelligible] [unintelligible] [unintelligible] [unintelligible] INNOCENT!" |

I didn't realize this place was mostly Freepers, but I guess it makes sense. It boggles my mind that you bitches are clutching your pearls over discovering that the family who raised a domestic terrorist might not be the most law-abiding, functional family in the world. But then you keep going and say this is proof that all social services should be abolished, and you link to rightwing Freeper sites to prove your so-called points, and I just feel sorry for you. |

R14, are you a closed mind queen living in his mom's basement? Certainly read like it. Try a little diversity. |

Who sent the activist judge and public defender to the suspects room? Holder, his uncle the lawyer, inquiring minds want to know. |

OMG! That "mom's basement" joke is the funniest thing I've ever read! But I'm gonna tell PPSM that you stole that original gem of wit from him! |
