The weather here was beautiful today; we got him outside 3 times. Yes, he smoked but what's the point in making him stop now?

Absolutely. When someone is at the end you let them do whatever gives them any comfort or pleasure.

Thank God Christian Science has freed us from involvement with that Doctor Frankenstein medical error lifestyle/mindset.

You should be thanking the luck that you never got really sick.

Because if you do, all the Christian hocus pocus in the world wouldn't save you.

I'm sorry. That sounds awful. I had a feeling it was cancer way back when you first posted about this. Have they told him how long he has?

MPC,

As the board's other much-maligned member, let me offer some advice.

Trolling and deliberately trying to goad people into confrontation is one thing.

Spouting nonsensical superstitious bullshit in a thread where someone is losing a loved one to a terminal illness is over the line, dear.

We must have standards.

I'm sorry, Apt4. You're a great friend by being there for him.

Gotta agree about letting him smoke. My mother had inoperable esophageal cancer from smoking, and she would hide the fact that she still smoked even though she was terminal, and I tried to tell her to smoke away, it would at least relax her, but she felt so pressured she hid it.

Sorry, Miss PP, but we are not 'trolling', CS works for us....... and you, Miss PP, are also free to follow whatever works for you.

We are happy and grateful that CS has freed us from reliance on doctors and 'medical science' with all the horrible fear and exepen$e that it involves. We have had no 'health insurance' since 2000 and have no plans to ever get any either.

Yes, in exactly the same way Dionne Warwick has predicted that thousands would meet a tall, handsome stranger.

Statements like this are tantamount to "I AM a lady, motherfucker!"

The moral high ground is not your neighborhood.

You came to a thread where someone needed some kind words about a dying friend just to take digs at me (even agreeing with an MPC rant in the process)...and yet feel the right to decide what constitutes "moral high ground."

That. Is. Rich.

BTW, Apt4, I'm sorry for what you're going through and I'm sorry I posted in your thread. Clearly nothing is sacred to these fucking loons.

I will not respond to them again in this thread.
