We are just back from a whirlwind tour of Paris, Amsterdam, and Budapest, and are deciding on our next destination--some time in June.

Which combo would you pick? Why?

Madrid/Barcelona, so you can visit MPC and her Blatino husbear with the uncut sizemeat and humungous low-hangers!

I prefer Spain as I am fairly fluent in Spanish, but am thinking I should save it for colder months. Then again, I was just in Budapest and have heard Vienna is very similar (though Prague looks beautiful).

So torn!

Personally I would do Barcelona & Madrid. Vienna and Prague are both very beautiful, but after a couple days I found them both depressing. Barcelona and Madrid are just happier environments IMO.

I totally agree, but the winters are long, cold, and dark in Luxembourg, and we may want to bank the warmer spots for the dead of winter.

Then again, I also have a friend in Athens for that...

It is not at all sure if we will still be married to our husband next month, things have been tense for well over a year now.

The best time to be in Barcelona is from October 1 to June 1 - from June 1 to October 1 we strongly prefer to be up north in Amsterdam or Paris or Ireland.

Barcelona summer is not nice at all.

That's what I was thinking. Prague it is, I think.
