What Happened to John Barrowman?

He used to be so cute.

I just saw him on Scandal and he looks like Liberace!

Really old face with very bad hairpiece that is way too dark.

OMG, do you think he..........aged?

He did. No surprise.

But the surprise was that he did it so quickly.

He is much better looking in person, actually.

And that body is tight!

Not bad at all for 46.

Then only thing that can save a homosexual over 40 is to have 10 inches!

He reportedly has sizemeat, Ms. PC. So you would approve.

He does have sizemeat. There is a photo out there on the interwebs.

What shocked me about his appearance on Scandal was that he needs a stylist. We all get older, but the way he was groomed was very distracting. His hair was too dark (and fake). Very dark hair on an older guy is not flattering -- it makes you look older. And he looked like he was well into his 50s.

I would probably have agreed with you until last week. I always thought he was okay looking, but a bit overdone on the polish and shine. I love him in Doctor Who and Torchwood, but wasn't really into him sexually.

Then I attended a sci-fi convention last week and met him in person. He is sooooo much better looking in person. And he is ripped. The face might be aging, but he's got the body of a 25 year old.

I get it now.

You admit to attending one of those? LOLZ

I saw that the police were called this week to one in England to break up the Dr. Who and the Star Trek fans.

Anyone caught at such an event who isn't a teenager suffers from arrested development.

Anyone nasty enough to make such a comment is a vile human being I would never associate with. Let me guess: you also hate kids and/or animals.

Of course I have no problem admitting I attend those conventions. They're harmless fun. Sci-fi fans are overwhelmingly liberal and gay friendly, the stars of those shows aren't big enough names to be divas--and thus tend to be down to earth and hang out with the fans, and the atmosphere at cons tends to be fairly laid back and friendly.

Is there a contingent of maladjusted social retards who live with their moms at 40 and spend more time learning Klingon than interacting with real people? Yes--a few. But 99% of con attendees are normal, friendly people.

Far worse things happen at sporting events by douchebag sports fans. THAT is something I don't get. The difference is, I would never go into a sports fan thread just to announce how lame I think it is.

You should spend more time letting people do what makes them happy and not drumming up hateful stereotypes just so you can feel superior.

Smooches!

I've never been to a convention, it's not easy for me to travel, but I love sic-fi and fantasy and would love to go to one. There's nothing about it that is arrested development. Most people don't dress in costumes, it's a great place to go to get firsthand info on new books, movies, video games, etc. That's a huge industry that's not just for kids. Even the military uses video games for training. Fans of sic-fi include Stephen King and Stephen Hawking. Not kids at all.

What part of "arrested development" did you not get?

Sorry, I'm typing at work and very busy. Wasn't clear. Arrested development means kid inside and that is what I was referring to but didn't spell it out plain enough for you because I was rushed.

Well, that was polite! Thank you.

Arrested development: Never outgrowing the "mean girl" stage of high school where you think it's necessary to knock down someone else's hobbies or interests just because you happen to not be into them yourself. All to make yourself feel superior because--on the inside--you have zero self esteem.

Sad.

[And yes, I'm already aware you lot will turn the last sentence back around on me. So spare me the "You got owned!" nonsense. If you were really the mature mavens of decency you claim to be, you wouldn't have felt the compulsion to respond to this thread just to put people down. So stop pretending to be better than me.]

You don't answer because you aren't.

You come here to troll, to be mean, to pick on other posters, to stalk authenticateds, and engage people you claim to hate in non-stop battle.

You do everything you accuse me of doing, and then pretend you have the right to take some moral high ground.

If I were beneath you, you wouldn't be here.

I own what I'm doing, sunshine. Why can't you?

I think he's gorgeous. Aging pretty boys are my favorite. And I love his personality when I've seen him on talk shows. He's quite self deprecating and realizes it's all show and not to be taken seriously. But if he's dyed his hair super dark that's would definitely affect his overall look. As fair skinned as he is, black hair would give him a Dracula look.

I think he'd throw a mean f***, if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm not typically into backdoor shenanigans, but if he pretended to be Captain Jack...
