That wasn't so hard, was it?

Examples:

*You're writing at a third grade level.
*Your grammar and spelling are atrocious.

Now you try!

You're apparently bored, because your post is boring.

Now that we've covered those 2 gems, maybe we can insist on proper use of the following:

progressive, liberal, conservative, fascist, racist, gay, pedophile, war, she, her, old, young, obscene, harmful, creepy and illiterate.

PPSM: If you weren't so insufferably condescending, you might be interesting.

I hope for your sake, and those in your real life, that this insecure scold is merely an Internet persona.

If everyone who misused those words was imprisoned, datalounge would cease to exist.

Cue/queue (!)

Witness the considerable ownage of PPSM here:

Schoolchild-aged error. Shameful.

This current thread has "epic backfire thread" written all over it.

Because that's exactly the same as confusing your/you're.

Also, I made this thread in retaliation for our resident Breitbart/Fox News quoting FFC, in response to the following thread. It was meant for one person. Some of you are taking things too personally.

Hon, nearly every thread I post is an "epic backfire thread."

1) I'm used to it.

2) You bored freaks have very low standards for considering things "epic."

Oh, and--after a year of posting here and 125 blog posts to mine for ridicule--the fact that you guys have to keep repeating the same "cue/queue" error is indicative that you have nothing else to use against me. Which indeed shows my spelling and grammar are pretty damn good.

Own that, you silly bitches.

We have always excelled at English grammar, as well as English literature, due to our excellent childhood educatia by Dominican nuns and priests in private - and very exclusive/expensive - schools!

I know the difference, we all know the difference, you post it all over DL and here, I don't know about anyone else, I just do it because it gets your goat. Control freak English queens, what does that say about them?

Why now your command of the proper usage of the apostrophe means that you're not typing on a tablet with autocorrect.

That was the best I could come up with.

I hate the auto-correct on my iPad, which always tries to change "its" to "it's."

It could one day bring me considerable grief on this forum.

Is it not possible to disable the auto-correct features on the various gadgets?

Why don't you people just turn the damned auto-correct off?

Perhaps people don't want to disable auto-correct because then they wouldn't have an excuse for their sloppy spelling & punctuation.

Yes, to anyone with even a rudimentary education this distinction is clear. But why is anyone so insecure that they need to scold other people about it?

I don't get that. It's a bit sad.

Hon, I already gave the link and explained what I was doing. This thread wasn't a general rant. It was aimed at one poster in particular. Our resident FFC was going off in another thread, and proved himself too stupid to know the difference.

I started the thread to scold him.

Simmer the fuck down.
