I was prepared to hate it, and in a certain environment I think it would be really ugly. But the lush grounds and the stark ultra modern structure really work well together IMO.

Everything looks cheap, like it came out of a box.

The house looks as if John Portman designed a house made solely from things you could buy at Home Depot.

I honestly really like it, except for that hideous peach bathroom.

Bernie Marcus has an Andy-Warhol-like painting of himself, ya know, because he's so glamorous! :rofl

That painting is the ultimate in tacky. And I agree totally about the furnishings. I didn't see much I would want.

Nothing charming about it, it's pretty ugly for that much money.

From the air it's a monstrosity.

Looks to have a serious leaf problem. From looking at the house, I thought maybe it was staged, hence the tacky furniture. I thought that one piece of objet d'art in one niche was a silver coated suitcase! So much for my art taste. Not for me.

This is Atlanta. You could live on the 40'th floor and you'd still have a leaf problem. It's life as we know it.

That's a pretty old picture, as I can make out the Sheraton sign at Colony Square.

It is quite old. Many towers standing today that weren't built when it was taken. I don't even see the Four Seasons Hotel tower and it was built in 1992. And the second tower of One Atlantic Center isn't there either. But I love the color enhancement of the image.

And I was wrong. I do see the Four Seasons Hotel. In fact it's there in plain view. Damn these old eyes. So the picture is apparently not as old as I thought.

Too much beige/brown/peach. Bare walls and wasted space.
Leaf problem? Considering its location and landscaping I'm guessing it also has a mosquito problem.

Golden Girls meets The Shining.

Vomit-inducing...to blend in perfectly with that colour palette.

I liked the sort-of Art Deco style, and admit it seemed nice in the lush, green surroundings. But then I saw that aerial shot.

Gross.

The house is 26 years old. When it was built in the 80's I'm sure everyone was wowed by it. But it definitely needs some updating.

I'm sorry, but this looks like a plywood aqueduct.

The proportions are clumsy and off.

There definitely does need to be some textural elements added to the outside surfaces. All that beige stucco is boring. It screams for some stacked stone and bricks.

Edited because after re-reading what I wrote it sounded like something Sugar Bear would have written. :eek Indulge me, I'm tired. :crybaby
