If you could choose one animal to revive, which one would it be? And why this species. I mean animals extinct during the last hundreds of years And please only write ONE specie!--- I would choose the Giant Moa. I am fascinated by big birds and cassoarys and ostrichs are so aggressive, so I would like to see this Giant. Also I think, that he would have a chance to survive nowadays, because there are places to live. Also i choose him, because I would like to know more about their social structures. I've heard that they maybe needed 7 years to grow up... So in all a good candidate for a revive

My choice would probably be the Thylacine; it was the only member of its family to survive into historical times and it went extinct because of human persecution. |

I would say the Woolly Mammoth, because they wouldn't have gone Extinct if for human hunting of their Male populations (I watched a documentary that said that the Mammoths and Mastodons basically went extinct for humans hunting the big males, leading younger males with higher testosterone levels, and basically attacking anything in sight, including other members of their species). So I think that we should be responsible and resurrect them (plus It's probably the easyist to do so because we happen to have more complete strands of their DNA than any other extinct species). |

I like to go with the theme of animals that went extinct because of humans. I'd like to see passenger pigeons returned. It would be pretty neat to see a flock of them blot out the sun, and also the climate should still be suitable for them to survive in. |

I would like Passenger Pigeons to return, because they became extinct only for human causes and they could compete with Feral Pigeons. Also Dodos because they were very important for their ecosystem in Mauritius (like spreading Tambalacoque tree seeds) and Moas and Haast Eagles to recover some of New Zealand's lost biodiversity. It would be great Thylacines coming back, but sadly people in Australia and Tasmania might not like that. Greetings! |

^Well even if they brought them back from extinction doesn't mean we could/should automatically release them into the wild. I'd like to think that they would keep the animals into zoos until they knew that it would be fine to release them back into the wild. |

Don't they try to clone the Thylacine? Hopefully they would work responsibly! |

I would probably try to revive the Thylacine & the Dodo, since both animals went extinct due to human interference. |
