| Welcome to Alpha Sanctuary! This is a roleplaying forum set in a fantasy world called Sanctuary. Players create their own characters, go on adventures, and participate in an overarching story which gradually shapes the world around them. If you think you might be interested, read through some of our content and submit a character application for review. We would love to have you! Before submitting your application, please register an account. If you're not sure what your character name is going to be, feel free to use something else until you submit your application. At that time, let us know you'd like to change your name, and we'll accommodate you. Using the same name for your account and character makes reading in-character threads much easier, so it's strongly encouraged. Refer to the newcomer's guide for help getting started. Fellsing slouched on the back of his riding goat as he and Crius descended from the Spine. They still had several days of travel ahead of them, but at least the worst part had passed. He pictured the geography of the eastern portion of Sanctuary in his mind to map out their route. Once they reached the river known to the people of Eigenblut as the Truestream, they could continue north to the ocean and follow the coastline all the way to Eyr. Dragons guarded the territory to their backs, but they would have to continue by their strength alone from here on. "Glad to be out of there," Fellsing muttered to his wood elf companion, Crius. He pulled his long, brown ponytail behind his back once they reached more or less stable ground. The grass ahead was thick with shrubbery, but there were fewer trees than in the mountainous territory behind them. Fellsing's goat bobbed his head at the grass brushing his neck, but he didn't stop to nibble on anything. "These are good animals," he added. "Good choice. Even that dragon didn't spook them." |

crius had finnaly gotten a bit used to ridding the goat, and it helped that they had stopped jumping over cliffs and ravines every five seconds. because he felt more secure he tested his stability on the goat by holding on with his legs and when he felt stabble enough he took of his jacket to inspect the damage. without stopping he pulled out needle and threath and started patchign the damage his jacket had sustained. "true, although i wonder if that's because we felt secure or if they were just to 'unknowing' to fear or little friend. what route do you wana take to our aunts and uncles?" crius saw all elves as family, the wood elves were his brothers and sisters, the spine elves were his cousins and nieces, and the true elves were his aunts and uncles. |

It took Fellsing a moment to figure out what Crius meant by that; if his companion thought of other elves as family, he considered them more like weeds in his garden. He was willing to accept that some were more like trees and flowers, though. "We'll make our way northeast for now and then follow the Truestream toward the northern coast," he suggested. "Traveling directly through the desert might be faster if we're lucky, but I would prefer to survive this journey and claim my reward." Examining the sun descending toward the mountainous horizon over his shoulder, his small face twisted into a grimace. "We can stop somewhere at nightfall or risk breaking our mounts' legs. What are your thoughts, Crius?" |

crius looked around and didn't really like what he saw. for one the groudn was so uneaven that he doubted even these ridign goats would be able to go on long in the dark without stepping in a hole and falling, and secondly nowhere in sight was there any good shelter excpet if they went back to the mountains ofcourse. "i would prefere to let them walk ahead slowly to save us time but i'm afraid we will have trouble walking if we keep sitting on these goats for much longer, and i think you might be right, they could break there legs if they walked in the dark. we shout dismount and set up some sort of camp here while we can still see enough to make fire." |

Fellsing brought his goat and the extra one to a stop near an old dogwood tree. As long as they were in agreement, they might as well build a temporary camp. He hopped off his mount and circled around the trunk. Since he couldn't reach around it, there was no other way to tie them down securely. Having taken care of what he perceived as his only responsibility, Fellsing sprawled out with his back against the tree and his hands behind his head. "Get started on that fire. I'll watch the goats." He yawned and closed his eyes, adjusting one of his bony shoulders to prevent it from jabbing against the bark. His legs were still sore from the long ride, but the pain faded with them stretched out in the grass. At least the spring air was comfortable enough. |

crius kept some names he wanted to call the spine to himself since they still had a long way to go together. he started wandering around the camp site in search of wood he could use for the fire. as he had collected almost all the wood he thought he would need to start the fire he found a nice branch he would keep seperate since it was the correct wood and shape to make a bow from, there was no way to be sure he would be succesfull in the creation of the wood piece, let alone the string but it was worth the try and if they weren't under constant attack he would have enough time to work on it. suddenly he heard steps behind him and as he turned he faced two deers. but before he could pull his sword both had already fled. dissapointed that the meal had fled he returned to fellsing and started making the fire. "i hope you weren't hoppign on steak. but if you do i know where you can foudn it, about 100 meters south of here running towards the east. but i asume you need to run a bit to catch it." |

"Doesn't sound like something I'd have much luck catching up with," Fellsing grumbled, hardly budging from his spot under the tree. His thoughts bounced all over the place - from the sight of the dragons to his parents and from that to his changing travel plans. Hopefully, whatever they learned after gaining entry to Gawngale would inform him well enough for a better investigation in Godsreach. "You know, people are ridiculous," he said without any sort of transition. "Humans especially. They'll believe whatever they're told, and even if they don't believe it, they just sit around and keep their thoughts to themselves so they don't stir up trouble." He grunted and closed his eyes again. "Sorry. Just thinking about this dumb kid I ran into in Godsreach last week." |

after the fire had been succesfully started he took the special peice of wood and startet carving at it with a sharp rock he had found laying around. he might need to use his sword or fellsings dagger to do the finishing touches but for the crude work the stone would suffice. "aren't we all trying to avoid problems. though somethimes we do get pushed into more troubles as we try to avoid trouble, and that can be troubeling i admit, but don't trouble yourself over it or you'll just get into more trouble. at least that's what one of my teachers used to say. who takes the first watch?" |

"Your teacher must've liked the word trouble," Fellsing laughed. He already had his mind on other things - like figuring out how to improve the protective barriers he learned how to generate. He still hadn't tested the limits of the magic. For example, how much force it could sustain, how long it lasted... Offering to take the first shift would give him time to play around with it. "I'll do it," he said. "Get some sleep. Or meditate. Whatever floats your boat." He balled his fists over his knees and crossed his legs as he tested the sensations of shifting energy in his body. Green light flowed outward from his body, forming a protective shell as it had during their brawl in the Spine. Fellsing began counting in silence. (Fellsing's mana: 20/35) |

crius took of his jacket and placed it against the tree before placing himself against it. "wake me up when it's my turn." without waiting for an answer crius closed his eyes and had fallen asleep quicker then even he had expected. |
