We've moved! If you're looking for a place to roleplay, check out a more recent venture: the Collective Isles.
It's another play-by-post forum roleplay like this one. The game is set in a multiverse full of life, magic, adventure, and its own brand of chaos. Players can even submit applications for their own worlds, adding to the scope of the setting.
There's no limit to character advancement; as long as you continue to participate, your character will learn and grow. Character development and interaction are as important to our community as the epic adventures which await. We're welcoming roleplayers of all experience levels, including first-timers.

| Welcome to Alpha Sanctuary! This is a roleplaying forum set in a fantasy world called Sanctuary. Players create their own characters, go on adventures, and participate in an overarching story which gradually shapes the world around them. If you think you might be interested, read through some of our content and submit a character application for review. We would love to have you! Before submitting your application, please register an account. If you're not sure what your character name is going to be, feel free to use something else until you submit your application. At that time, let us know you'd like to change your name, and we'll accommodate you. Using the same name for your account and character makes reading in-character threads much easier, so it's strongly encouraged. Refer to the newcomer's guide for help getting started. Enjoy your stay! |

Fellsing considered Crius' points with care. With an understanding of magic and elven intuition, it all followed quite logically. Oblivious to their discussion, his goat plodded along toward patches of forest in the distance. "When it asked for our names, you said it didn't belong in this world," he prompted. "You mean to suggest that it could have come from someplace else? What else is there? There are material beings and magic beings, but magic beings don't serve their own will. They just follow instructions, like you said. It must have been a material being of some kind speaking through the form the elder provided. Even then... How the hell did that old man make something like that?" All of this thinking made Fellsing keenly interested; he hoped they would have time to circle back around after completing their mission and probe the campers for more information. "Leave it for now," he suggested to Crius. "If you're bent on telling the dragons everything, let them figure it out. They think they're so damn smart." The dragons mentioned a call from the deep beyond; the villagers called their leader their father in the deep beyond. The connection could not be ignored. Even so, he preferred not to talk about it. In the deepest confines of his mind, Fellsing entertained an inkling of fear: what if, in an attempt to obtain the information they denied him, the metal man reached into their dreams? If a being regarded as dangerous by the dragons became their enemy, what chance did they have to survive? |
