Quick-Brief Summary: Claymore is about these Silved-Eyed Witches, called Claymores for the very claymore swords that they wield, whose job is kill these monsters known as Yomas. These Claymores are employed by this mysterious organization, called the Organization, lead by even more mysterious men in black coats, and thus are known as Black Coats. For a price, the Organization will send a Claymore to kill Yomas for a town and its Human inhabitants. Claymores are all female, light-haired (blonde or even white), and silver-eyed. They are actual Half-Yomas themselves, with their other half, being Human. Yomas are superior to the Humans, but Claymores are superior to Yomas, despite being a hybrid. This is likely due to the reality that they're more able to harness and utilize their Yoma Energy, known as Yoki, which is what allows for them to be superior to the Yomas, and this is likely due to them still having Human minds, compared to having a Yoma mind. Unfortunately, if a Claymore releases-uses 80% or more Yoki, they change into a super Yoma, called an Awakened. The Humans are right to be scared of the Claymores, despite often needing their help to kill the (Normal) Yomas or even Awakeneds too. Some Claymores are so powerful that they can even kill Awakeneds with ease. These are the ranks 1-5 Claymores. The Organization is set up with 47 Claymores, one for each of the 47 regions on the relatively small island. But, the ranks are really based upon the Claymores' Power Levels, rank 1 being the most powerful and rank 47 being the least powerful. Rank 1 Claymores are in a league of their own, but even they can release and use 80% Yoki, and became Awakeneds too. Such Awakeneds are known as Abyssal Ones or as "Dwellers of the Deep". Whereas, ranks 2-47 Awakeneds are known as Awakened Beings. Claymore focuses on a special rank 47 Claymore, named Clare. She is no ordinary rank 47, as she's not a hybrid like all the other Claymores, but rather she's 3/4 Human and only 1/4 Yoma, which is caused from being created from a Claymore, and not just any Claymore, but the most powerful Claymore of all time, Teresa of the Faint Smile. Claymore takes you through Clare's journey, in becoming a rare and unique Half-Awakened, and than delving into Clare's past, learning that this journey of Clare's, is a journey of revenge! As, Clare seeks to kill the most powerful Awakened of all time, Priscilla. An Awakened so powerful that she can kill Abyssal Ones with total ease. However, about half way through the manga, it shifts from Clare's journey of vengence, to that of the plight of the humans, against the Yomas and the Claymores' own Organization, as it turns out that the Organization and its Black Coats, are actually responsible for the intentional Yoma infestation of the island, and secretly using the island as a laboratory for creating and developing their living weapons, their Claymores and Awakeneds. The Organization and its Black Coats have been deceiving the Humans and their own Claymores for 100 years. The Humans' and Claymores' war against the Organization, has now come to the forefront, while Clare's journey of revenge against her mortal enemy, Priscilla, has been pushed into the background, due to a major hindering circumstance. Who will win the war, between the Humans and Claymores vs the Organization and its Yomas, and what will become of Clare and of Priscilla? The manga continues onwards, we just have to wait and see what will come forth in the story! I wish there were more episodes,,, the last one was when Clare beat that "one-horned awakend being" (her name slips my mind) .... or were there more episodes i"m not aware of? |

i think the time will come, when they will try to milk cash out of it but it is true they screwed up with the ending but the fact is i rewatched the series about 5 times if not 6 (its on MAL i dont remember now), and my friend watched it even more, when i tell him i saw claymore again - he will tell me he saw it twice or something like that... Claymore anime does get boring eventually... after at like the 8th time... as you kinda know it too well, and seen it jsut too much, laughs

never, i have watched some scenes 10+times and i will never get bored for some reason, this goes for most animes though, so its probably because of me this friend who watched it even more than me - we can talk about every little detail in there and watch it again and again then laugh replay it and laugh again - its great something like that actually actually my MAL page says i rewatched it 4 times but i have rewatched individual episodes so many times that it amounts to at least 2 full series Edited by spit, Wednesday, 14. I've watched the entire 24 episodes of Claymore anime at least 12 times. And invividual episodes... too high too count, lol. These are my Claymore anime records, laughs --------- oh, what I wouldn't give to be able to watch Claymore anime for my very first time, all over again... it's almost like the first time you had sex (and it was a good first time at that, lol).
