I did a post the other day about a Madonna fan who became angry with me on Twitter, because I retweeted a story from the New York Post about Madonna angering residents over tax dodging- using a tree farm to get out of paying taxes. (Please see the Madonna Fans on Twitter thread for more) Some Madonna fan then sent me a series of angry tweets, some of them screaming about how the New York Post is owned by Murdoch and cannot supposedly be trusted. I have noticed that some Madonna fans are hypocritically picky about whom they will trust as news sources: their litmus test for accuracy and trustworthiness is: is the news source positive or negative of Madonna? If the story is positive, the fans will accept the story as being true and accurate. If the story is negative, they will automatically distrust the story, or attack the owners of the publication. What I find oh- so- amusing is that often, a Madonna fan site, supporters of Madonna, will publish the same news stories without qualification or hesitation on their sites! For example, pro-Madonna site "Madonnalicious.com" published the same news item about Madonna's tree nursery angering neighbors that I tweeted about yesterday (the very same story that angered the Madonna fan on Twitter; he said that this story is a falsehood): On Madonna Fan Site Madonnalicious: Madonna Angers Locals With Tree Planting About twice so far on Twitter, I have had two or three different Madonna fans accuse me of altering a Madonna photo. They accused me of photoshopping it to make Madonna look terrible. However! I got the photo off Madonna fan site "Madonnalicious.com." I did not photoshop the photo to make Madonna look worse: the only modifications done to the photo by me were to make it match the colors from her "Celebration" album cover, and that was all. You can read more about that incident, along with a link to where that photo is hosted on Madonnalicious.com here I find it amusing (and sometimes frustrating) that fans cuss me out and scream at me in fits of anger on forums and Twitter over publishing the SAME EXACT CONTENT that is posted on Madonna fan sites. It seems to be fine with fans if "Madonnalicious.com," "Drowned Madonna," or "Madonna Tribe" publishes negative stories or unflattering photos of Madonna, but for some mysterious reason I've not been able to deduce, it's somehow wrong for me to publish the same content. |

...hahaha...just demonstrates the suspicious IQ of most of her fans that they will just publish any old article about her these days, no matter how negative, without even vetting it... ...she's really hit new lows now... |

I think the story is true. I see no reason for the news sites to fabricate it. |
