I don't think Madonna has "legions" of fans. More like 5 or 6.

'I'm disgusted' Madonna snubbed during Super Bowl halftime show
  • By Jack Hardwick / Published 8th February 2016

In previous years, the game's organisers, NFL, have come under fire for nip slips, swearing and questionable adverts.

But this year, it was the apparent snub of Madonna that really got people talking.

The Queen of Pop famously performed during the 2012 halftime show, making it one of the most viewed gigs of all time.

However, as 2016 performers Coldplay belted out Fix You, a montage of past performers covered the stage.

From Katy Perry to Michael Jackson, some of the biggest stars were given the nod in front of the world, but one performer was missing – Madge.

Naturally, this omission didn't go unnoticed by the 57-year-old's legions of fans.

Rushing to Twitter, one user ranted: "I'm disgusted that the #NFL omitted Madonna from their video montage. Best Super Bowl ever."

Another added: "The video montage of past #SuperBowl performers omitted Madonna.

    "That was really disrespectful."

One user appeared to blame show sponsors Pepsi for Madonna's no show, writing: "Did #NFL and @Pepsi just snub #Madonna for leaving her out of the #SuperBowl montage? #EpicFail."
The snub comes as Madonna is locked in a bitter custody battle with Guy Ritchie over their son Rocco.

The 15-year-old is said to have upped sticks and moved to London after growing tired of his mum's demanding lifestyle.

Reports even suggested that the youngster felt "more like a trophy than a son" when he joined her on her ongoing Rebel Heart Tour.

I see I wasn't alone in noticing that ... I was actually happy to see that omission. That Bapthomet number was already creepy enough.

And before people start screaming "sexism", they happened to include Diana Ross in the montage. See, she has class & is worthy of respect - you don't earn that by whining & pounding on the high chair tray.

Let's see how much Madonna "don't care" right now, along with Gaga killin' it & Beyoncé/Coldplay bloatin' it.

EDITED TO ADD: Hmmm ... such a lack of online outrage compared to, say, Farrah Fawcett being omitted from the In Memoriam montage at the 2010 Oscars. Oh, well ...

Madonna's was one of the worst Super Bowl halftime shows ever... I saw Coldplay's and it was way better (especially considering Beyonce and Bruno in it).
