Madonna's Interview Ladies Home Journal 2005 LHJ photo spread - hosted on madonna-star.com View 2005 LHJ photo spread on Madonna Shots.com These photos were on "Madonna Tribe," and according to them, these are going to be in an upcoming "Ladies Home Journal" magazine. (EDIT, 2008: the photos were moved on the Madonna Tribe site, so I've had to post them again from other sources.) And hey, she mentions Dead Mom in the LHJ interview. She says that she wants her son to show compassion to other people - really? Where is he going to learn that from? Certainly not from her  She looks like Tom Petty in some of these. In the first one, it doesn't even look like her, I don't think; maybe it's that almost look-alike that Lady Chadwick theorizes that Man-donna uses as a double. ![]() ![]() direct link | hosted on fan site ![]() ![]() direct link Backstage At The Ladies Home Journal Photoshoot, London - 25 March 2005 (scroll down page, towards bottom) This pic was also posted to the "photoshopped" thread, since it's quite obvious the head and hands are far too large for the body and were added in an imaging editing program: ![]() ![]() direct link |

Is it just me, or does she look like she's trying to rip off Johnny Depp's new look for Tim Burton's Willie Wonka remake ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory")?![]() Her outfits in the pics also remind of that "Series of Unfortunate Events" movie. |

You're right, she does look a bit like the Willy Wonka'd Johnny Depp. It looks like they've latched on to a theme in these, maybe comparing her to some Victorian - era author? These photos come from an article to hype her new kiddie book. Are they trying to portray her as Charles Dickens? Notice they have her posed around stacks of books in many of them. I also see a little of a Marlene Dietrich influence, which wouldn't be the first time Stupid ripped her off. Dietrich was big on posing in men's suits and sometimes top hats, when she wasn't wearing fancy dresses that had feathered head gear. Lemme see if I can find a pic or two or her in a top hat... ![]() Click to view larger: ![]() Not a top hat, but Madonna's photos evoke the same style and look as ones like this (click to view larger): ![]() P.S. Her head looks way too big for her body in this photo. It almost looks as though someone "photo-shopped" it onto her body:

I'd have to see the text ( I won't be buying the f'ing L H Journal however ) to see why she wanted to look as bad as this.AIRBRUSHED TO DEATH! And she still looks hellacious. She looks deranged at best. As typical with her shoots it's supposed to be "evocative" of something. It's a play on words- "mad hatter" (see: photoshopped mouse)- and she's "Mad", get it? That's her name- ha! ha! ha! oh, and she's a writer of children's books just like Lewis Carrol!!!!.......stupid b***h. That somehow is supposed to convey the gist that her miming a play on words is BRILLIANT. No, it's not brilliant, you stupid b***h, you look like a sick old woman in these photos, and the mad hatter had mercury poisoning. On the other hand, you do look ill, so maybe it is inspirational. Insipid cow. |

Lewis Carrol - thank you, Ironshadow! That must be who I had in mind. I knew they were trying to make her out to look like someone or something else, wasn't sure just what.I hope it was a photoshopped mouse and not a real one. I pity any poor creature who had to pose with her. If the mouse was real and had to pose with her - she probably gave him fleas. And ticks. If it's any consolation at all, I don't think Stupid came up with the theme - or maybe she did, it is a possibility. What I mean is that Grandma-donna is so thoroughly devoid of any originality of her own, I have wondered how many of her rip-off's were her idea, or if she was just doing what an art stylist, photographer, or director told her to do. In some cases, we do have it on record that a rip-off was her idea. For example, I've read in articles that Madonna told the director for "Material Girl" that she wanted it to be a rip off of Marilyn Monroe's "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" number from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Regardless of who ultimately decides who she is going to steal from (whether Madonna does it or an art stylist does it), it's infuriating to me that the fans and the press laud her for it, say how "artistic" she is, and I've actually seen some of them call her "original" or "unique." Some of these same fans turn around and get hacked off when they think Gwen Stefani, Geri Halliwell, or some other performer is "copying off of" Madonna. Did you see the post I did at the old board where it was pointed out that one of the Drowned Madonna site owners had a cow when he thought his original work - his "scoop" on Madonna's new album title - was being copied by news agencies who were not giving him credit? He was having a cow. Very angry. See, these fans don't like it when they think their original work is being ripped off by someone else, but they turn around and heap praise on Madonna for ripping off other people's ideas. Revolting. Remember when Britney Spears went on her Onyx Hotel Tour, remember how so many critics complained that Spears was "copying off" Madonna and not doing a good job, and that bugged them? Where were their criticisms of Madonna for having ripped off Debbie Harry, Jean Harlow, Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn Monroe??? ------------------- Info on Lewis Carroll The Lewis Carroll Society Lewis Carroll Photography Page - of and by Carroll, Victorian era photos |

The mouse is photoshopped (and yes, Liz, we know it's a dormouse, but who gives a s**t)- if it wasn't, we could call PETA- any rodent forced to work with she-who-has-no-face needs to be rescued. I envision the airbrush jockey as sort of a Bob Cratchit type- he not only has to do her reptile face and wrinled t*ts, but he has to find a stock photo of a particular type of rodent to put into the photo (Mandona, shrieking: "it HASTA be a DOOR MOUSE, do ya know what a DOOR MOUSE is???? )His life must be priceless. |

Oh forgot to add - you can read it without buying it, or at least one page of the article. Some fan uploaded it to "photo bucket," but the bandwidth has run out for now, so you cannot view it right now this moment (check back later, I guess). The link to it is... View scanned page of Madonna's LHJ interview As soon as this LHJ issue hits the store shelves, count on ("Drowned Grandma-donna") or "Madonna Tribe" fan sites to wall paper their sites with it, so you'll be able to see it for free, don't worry.
Graphic designers who have to work on her products don't get paid enough.

So I see she's trying to bring back the ever so popular monicle! Take a hint dear, it didn't work in the late 80's when you used it in your Express Yourself video, and it certainly isn't going to work now! |

Good call on the Mr. Peanut inspiration! his head is way too big for his body, too. Actually I was thinking Gwen Stefani and Tom Petty's "Don't Come Around Here No More"... My Webpage My Webpage (I don't know why it wouldn't let me simply post the pics. For some reason, when I put them up as links, it says "My Webpage". But you can click on them and see photos.) |

Thanks for posting the Stefani pic (I clicked on the link and checked that out). Do you know what music video that was from? I'm afraid I'm not terribly familiar with her career. I do own one "No Doubt" record, and I've seen about three of her videos, and that's about it. Yeah, I was reminded of Tom Petty's Alice in Wonderland type video. That was from the 1980s. I remember the scene where the girl turns into a cake, and they start slicing her up.
Thank you. Mr. Peanut is far more attactive - and a much better dancer than she is. What's the old comedian from the 1930s or so? He used to wear top hats, carry a cane, and I think a monocle... W.C. Fields. Yeah, that's it - W. C. Fields. I don't think she was trying to rip him off on purpose, though. I think Iron was right and it was probably more of a Carroll rip off, since he wrote a kid's book, and this photo layout of her was to promote her new kiddie book. Click to view larger (photos of W. C. Fields)- ![]() ![]() |

Mr. Peanut, LOL! I think that pic of Gwen Stefani is from her video "What You Waiting For", it had a sort of Alice in Wonderland theme (like Petty's, but no slicing up the cake-girl). I wonder if Stefani's solo success is a bug in the material hurl's butt--especially since the media has gone on about how Gwen is the new queen of pop. |

I stood in a long line at Kroger's today reading the silly article. OK, she admits that telling girls they can be powerful and smart, while doing so in the buff, was contradictory. But when she mentioned that her kids don't watch TV, "it's trash," I was waiting for the interviewer to ask, "But TV (videos) is what made you famous you twit!" To my dying day, I'll never forget her on Nightline, after Justify My Stupidity came out, telling parents that their kids need to see smut, so they can ask their parents questions. Now she won't even let her kids watch TV at all. Moron. I agree, 90% of TV is trash, but I do like the History Channel, Science Channel National Geo, and some other channels with decent shows. But MTV? Garbage. And it's what made Madonna and Britney big. Go figure. |

I addressed this in another thread, but I don't think she regrets any of her slutty past, it's just something she says to mollify people who otherwise may not consider buying a children's book from a porn star such as herself. On the other hand, it's great material to use against any Madonna fans who come to this board to defend Madonna's use of sluttiness in music videos, movies, and old concert tours. I can once more whip out a new batch of quotes where I can say, 'See, even your idol admits she was an egotistical, vapid whore, and she did it to get famous, not because she cared about feminism.' |
