Posted Image Posted Image Lady Chadwick, I thought you might find this interesting. It's a magazine scan of an article about Madonna's diet. If you're on a dial-up modem, this scan may take some time to download. It's hosted on fan site madonnalicious.com

From a 2005 issue of "Reveal" magazine:
Madonna's Diet Dilemma - image scan of magazine article

According to madonnalicious.com:
  • UK Magazines: Reveal
    Posted: 24 August 2005
UK tabloid magazine Reveal (27 August-02 September issue) features Madonna on the cover and a one-page article inside about Madonna's accident.
I note with a giggle that they mention osteoporosis, something I joked about in another thread, even before she had her horse accident.

Baloney. Non-macrobiotic baloney.
She does not eat in eateries? What's up with the story of actually taking someone else's meal of lamb because it's her fave dinner?
Since when is lamb non-meat anyway?
She's always being mentioned as "seen exiting a posh London restaurant..." What does she do in these places, drink Kabbalah water?
She sounds like she's actually losing her cultridden mind.

Some magazine, a newer one with Gwen on the cover, had on it's last page "What Did You Eat Today?" where the magazine asked several celebs that question.
Madonna's pic was there, a really tired old hag pic from before she was wearing arm slings, and she replied, "A handful of almonds, and a shake my housekeeper made for me. It wasn't really that good. (Laughing)"
A few nuts a day (including her husband and friends); no wonder she's shriveling up.
I wonder what was in her shake? Certainly couldn't have been a nice, cold ice cream shake, I imagine some mixture of Kabullcrap water and herbs.

Madonna 'looks good, even in her late 40s?' - :rolleyes2: - That's disputable.

Want to eat like Madonna and Gwyneth?

I'm the first to admit that even in her late 40s, Madonna looks good. But that doesn't mean I'm going to start eating like she does.

In "The Hip Chick's Guide to Macrobiotics" (Avery Publishing, $16.95), Jessica Porter brings the diet of celebrities like Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow to the masses.

In the midst of the carb-counting craze, a diet that lets you eat rice sounds great. But instead of giving up carbs, you have to give up dairy, poultry, pork and red meat. Porter says it's more of a lifestyle than a diet.

Lifestyle? Pooh.
She wants people to think that she eats like some warped Hindu hermit because it's "spiritual." If she were a health freak she wouldn't be boozing it up in every recent photo shoot.
The reason she starves herself? The same reason she lives and breathes. Her image. She wants to act "above" the rest of us who "don't get it."
Everyone knows she would eat a honey coated cat turd if she thought it would make her skinnier or lose a few wrinkles.

Tannis root?

(for those of you who've seen the film "Rosemary's Baby" will know what I'm talking about)

Tannis root, mixed with some almonds and lots of BS ("special ingredient")

True. She's more concerned with looking spiritual than in actually being spiritual, like the Pharisees in the Gospels.

I saw Rosemary's Baby, but don't remember Tannis Root (not the name), but I remember they kept drugging her with something, right? That movie was so dopey!

Aren't Biscotti those things you're supposed to dip in coffee ('tho I suppose you could eat them as-is)?

I hate them. They are hard as bricks. You might as well pick a rock off your front lawn and chew on it.

I'm not sure these receipes are right. I don't see any of them calling for human blood. :hmm:

Your LIFE: Eat Like the Stars

    MADONNA'S MIXED SALAD

A large bag of mixed salad leaves

    2 hard-boiled eggs

Half a cup of black olives

A small cube of goat's cheese

    1 avocado, chopped

1 390g can of artichoke hearts

    DRESSING

    3 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

    1 tablespoon honey

    3 teaspoons of olive oil

    Pinch salt

1 Put all the ingredients into a large bowl

2 Mix dressing, add to salad ingredients and mix well

Eric says: "When Madonna was expecting her son Rocco, this was one of her favourites. She loves salads."

    MADONNA'S FAVE NIBBLE.. BISCOTTI

    Two cups of plain flower

    2 eggs, beaten

    One cup of caster sugar

    1 grated orange rind

    1/2 tsp vanilla essence

    1/4 tsp baking powder

    100g-shelled pistachios

    1/3 cup toasted pine nuts

1 Sift flour into bowl. Add eggs, sugar, orange rind, essence and baking powder. Mix to a smooth dough then add nuts

2 Divide dough in half, roll each half to a 20cm-long sausage.

3 Bake on a greased tray in a moderate oven for 30mins or until lightly browned.

4 Cool, cut diagonally into thin slices. Place slices cut side up on a greased tray. Bake for 20mins or until crispy.

Eric says: "I kept a tray of these in the kitchen all the time. Madonna loves them and would nibble at them throughout the day - often dropping crumbs in the car."

OK, where to start on this nonsense.
Biscotti isn't diet food. Even according to this recipe it takes a cup of "flower."
I assume the idiots mean flour...
Her fave salad contains eggs and cheese. I THOUGHT she avoided dairy and was quoted as saying she does not even want it in the house.
HYP-O-CRITE. LIAR..
Eggs and cheese aren't any more macrobiotic than the booze she's always guzzling.
I guess Eric was trying to make us think it was so cute to drop crumbs in the car. She doesn't have to clean it, and she favors wearing dirty oversized pants and hats, and smelly old pajamas, so I see nothing surprising that she doesn't mind food on her car floors. She probably has booze stains in her bed and mud on her bathroom floor. She really is a pig.

And we could really have some fun if they'd called it "Madonna's Tossed Salad"...
(I know you hate Wikipedia, but click here for a quick clue if you're not sure what that is. First page of link is work-safe. You're on your own from there.)

I wouldn't say I haaaaate Wiki, but I do think it's important to realize they're a tad biased in favor of secular humanism / atheism / liberals and against conservatism, Christianity, etc. As that one site pointed out, Wiki also just sometimes gets factual information incorrect.

I looked up "tossed salad." I stopped at the "anal / oral sex act" line.

When that story broke about that dorky guy from "Saved By A Bell" making a porno tape, I kept seeing the term "dirty sanchez" in stories about it, so I looked it up. I wish I had remained ignorant.

Damn! Now I have to look that up - I think I know what it is...

OK, I was right. Yuck! Why would anybody want to do that to someone else? Is this something rapists do for extra kicks?
