"Madonna’s children’s books are worse than Hitler". They really are. Okay, well, they didn't kill any jews, but they're really really awful books. Fortunately she's not really to blame because she didn't actually write them. by tibber
everything Madonna does is awful. why she continues to get a free pass is beyond me. Janet 3 March 2010 | 3:22 PM CST
I don't know about that. A librarian who is a bit of an authority on children's literature said you know Madonna wrote them because if they had been ghostwritten they would have been competent. I tend to agree with her. Lovecraft In Brooklyn 3 March 2010 | 4:43 PM CST
Madonna made Jewish mysticism uncool... that sucks bad timing 4 March 2010 | 1:29 AM CST
In the late 90s Madonna begins her dabbling in Kabbalah. In September 2000 the Second Palestinian Intifada begins.

Speaking as a Jew and for all Jews haven't we suffered enough without Madonna hijacking our religion. The video where she put on tephillin made me want to slap her. Geddy Lee Marvin 4 March 2010 | 10:19 AM CST

Is Madonna Jewish? The material girl's professed faith has little to do with classical Jewish mysticism.- BY EVAN R. GOLDSTEIN
In 1941, Gershom Scholem published "Major Trends in Jewish Mysticism," a groundbreaking study of Kabbalah's murky origins, complicated texts and arcane ideas. Scholem, who died in 1982, concluded the book with a vague prediction: "Under what aspects this invisible stream of Jewish mysticism will again come to surface we cannot tell." Chances are he didn't have Madonna in mind.
But the pop superstar has since the mid-'90s been Kabbalah's most prominent enthusiast, incorporating Kabbalah-inspired themes into her music and even donating $18 million to the Kabbalah Centre, a controversial organization led by a New York-born former insurance salesman turned rabbi ...

Cross posted to the Nutty Fans thread:
This fan clearly has his priorities in order: he's more concerned about seeing Madonna in concert than on the conflict in the region where he lives. A Madonna concert is far more important than the safety of Israel.
Madonna fan asks Israel to attack Iran after concerts- That's the plea of one Israeli fan of Madonna who has set up a Facebook group calling for Israel to delay until after the diva performs there in May what some fear will be an attack on Iran.
"Bibi! No war with Iran until after Madonna's performance on May 29," the anonymous enthusiast pleads in Hebrew in the newly created group, using a popular nickname for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
International music icon Madonna is set to kick off her hotly anticipated 2012 world tour in Israel in May, with local media reporting she will arrive weeks before the performance so she can participate in final rehearsals.
But while Israeli fans gear up to purchase tickets for the performance, speculation is building about a possible Israeli attack against Iran's nuclear programme, which the Jewish state believes masks a weapons drive.
Tehran denies the charges, but reports have said Israel believes Iran could reach the point of obtaining nuclear weapons this autumn, and is considering a military strike in spring or summer to prevent such a capability.

Translation: "I represent Madonna fans, also known as Brainwashed Zombies. We all know Iran is building nukes to arm warheads, so they can bomb us into oblivion. Yes, I am gay, and I know Iran executes homosexuals because it's against the law there, but I have priorities. Sure, if we postpone anything that will give Iran more time to perfect their weapons, but I can't get nuked without seeing my ruler first. I don't care if the whole country, region, and possibly the entire world will suffer if a maniac gets nukes. A 53 year old former hooker is worth it!"
And THIS, friends, is WHY these fans are insane, immature, ignorant, uncaring, selfish, and seemingly possessed by something. Like Vadge.

By all means let's allow Iran to continue making nuclear bombs so a Madonna concert can go on.
Here are more headlines about it:
Madonna's Israeli fans lobby PM: No war before her concert- In a newly launched Facebook page, Israeli fans of Madonna are pleading with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to delay any plans to attack Iran until after the pop star's May 29 concert in Tel Aviv, Ha'aretz reports.
The name of the Facebook page, in Hebrew, is pretty straightforward, according to Ha'aretz which is treating the site seriously.
It's called: "Bibi don't start a war with Iran until after Madonna's show on May 29." Bibi is a popular nickname for Netanyahu.
So far, only a few score fans have joined the page. But Ha'aretz, while conceding the obvious triviality of the issue in the face of talk of war over Iran's nuclear program, notes that unrest has indeed taken its toll on visiting entertainers. Israeli fans beg PM to hold off Iran attack over Madonna show
Israeli Fans Ask Netanyahu to Delay Iran Attack Until After Madonna’s Concert
Stop the war! We want Madonna, Israeli fan pleads

This is only slightly related to Madonna. Rabbi Boteach has written a few editorials critical of Madonna's public antics over the years.
I learned that his last name is pronounced 'Bow - tay - ak.' I wondered how it was pronounced, now I know.
I don't agree with all Boteach's views on religious matters, but I have largely agreed with his past columns on Madonna's behavior.
Media Targets Rabbi Shmuley Boteach for Coming Out as Republican- Each spring, Newsweek magazine publishes a list of America's "Top 50" rabbis. Most of the names on the list probably won't be familiar to people outside the Jewish faith, but a few stand out. One of those is Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, who is famous outside Jewish circles for his books on sex and marriage, and for his connection to celebrities like Michael Jackson and Oprah (whose show he has appeared on several times).
Boteach has always ranked near the top of the Newsweek list. In 2007 and 2008 he was #9 on the list. In 2009 he went to #7 and then peaked at #6 in 2010. He was #11 on the 2011 list, still quite respectable. And then, this year, he suddenly slid all the way down to #30. What happened? Here's Newsweek's explanation:
Known for his bestselling books on parenting and sex, Boteach “threw his yarmulke in the ring” to run for a congressional seat in New Jersey to “bring Jewish values into the political discourse” and won the Republican nomination.
One might think that announcing a run for office would make a rabbi more influential, not less. After all, no rabbi has ever been elected to Congress. If he won his race in New Jersey's ninth congressional district, Shmuley Boteach would be the first.
We often hear that these sorts of firsts (i.e. the first black woman, the first Hispanic) are important cultural milestones. Not so when you're running as a Republican, it seems.
The Newsweek description provides a partial excuse for why Boteach's ranking has fallen, a few sentences later:
his political candidacy has not been helped by a report in The Forward that said an “examination of public records reveals that the charity Boteach heads spends a significant portion of its revenues on payments to Boteach and his family.”
The Forward is a Jewish publication with a decidedly left-leaning bent. Not surprisingly, it published a hit piece on Boteach before he had even formally announced his candidacy.
The core of the Forward piece is an attack on Boteach's charity which suggests something is wrong with the salary the organization's board chose to pay him. But, critically, nothing specific is ever alleged. On the contrary, count the number of weasel words in this sentence introducing the topic:
Some aspects of the organization’s finances are of the type that, depending on the circumstances, could raise questions among regulators. [snip rest of page]

Didn't she use the flag of some other nation - Argentina? Brazil?- to rub all over her crotch in some tour in the 1990s, which hacked off a bunch of that nation's citizens?
Madonna kicks off 'MDNA' world tour in Israel to raucous fans- ...While some artists have opted to boycott Israel because of its policies toward Palestinians, the 53-year-old Madonna’s ties to the Jewish state have only strengthened in the last few years.
...During that show, she wrapped herself in an Israeli flag and called Israel the “energy center of the world.”
Madonna, who is not Jewish, has been dabbling in Kabbalah for more than a decade and has taken on a Hebrew name, Esther. On previous trips to Israel she went to the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem, the holiest site where Jews can pray, and visited the grave of a revered Jewish sage. Remember this old story?:
Madonna Likens John McCain to Nazi in On-stage Montage [an action which was condemned by Jewish group ADL] - NEW YORK, Aug 25, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire via COMTEX/ --
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today condemned as "inappropriate and offensive" the use by Madonna of an image of Hitler as part of a concert photo montage that also included photos of John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, and Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe. The images were projected on a screen as Madonna launched her world tour with a live concert in Cardiff, Wales.
Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director and a Holocaust survivor, issued the following statement:
Comparisons to Hitler have no place in a music concert, or in the presidential campaign.
Whatever Madonna's political or personal views, it is outrageous to invoke Nazi imagery in the context of John McCain's candidacy or to make a comment on American political leadership.
It is inappropriate and offensive to compare any current or former world leaders with the man ultimately responsible for the death of six million Jews and the suffering of countless others during the Holocaust. Doing so trivializes the history of the Holocaust and is an insult to the memories of the victims and their families.
The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

Campaigners call for stars to boycott Israel, slam Madonna for Tel Aviv performance- By Al Arabiya
After campaigners criticized Madonna for beginning her tour in Tel Aviv, other stars have come under scrutiny by activists who believe performances in Israel are an endorsement of the Jewish state’s policies, according to a report in New Zealand Herald.
Campaigners have expressed disappointment at major artists’ decision to perform in Israel, ignoring the Jewish state’s illegal settlements in occupied lands. Reports suggest that campaigners want a boycott of Israeli venues similar to what was seen during apartheid in South Africa.
Madonna became the latest superstar to be criticized for kicking off her world tour, labeled “tour of peace”, in Tel Aviv.
“By performing in Israel, Madonna has consciously and shamefully lent her name to fig-leafing Israel’s occupation and apartheid and showed her obliviousness to human rights” said Omar Barghouti of the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel.
The pop sensation tried and failed to detour the claims by offering free concert tickets to those opposing her.
"As we've learned from the South African struggle for freedom, entertaining Israeli apartheid should never be mislabeled as singing for peace" said Barghouti.
The calls for boycott are being supported by a host of world-renown stars such as film director Ken Loach, former Pink Lloyd frontman Roger Walters and American writer Alice Walker. Significantly, musicians Carlos Santana and Elvis Costello have postponed shows after the increasing pressure from campaigners and Coldplay, U2 and Bruce Springsteen have declined invitations to perform in Israel without associating themselves with the foreboding boycott.
However, artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lenny Kravitz and Guns N’ Roses are planning future concerts later this year.
“As was done in the case of South African apartheid, please join us now in the cultural boycott of Israel, and help stop entertaining apartheid” a statement by the campaign read.
The anti-apartheid campaign has gathered the attention of U.S.-Israel entertainment executives who believe their counterparts are ruining the music industry. What’s more, senior Israeli politicians who agree on using boycotts to achieve their intended outcomes can be sued in the process.

This is a rather odd page. I don't agree with all of it. They say that she isn't using sex on this tour - yes, she is. She has flashed nude body parts on stage.
MADONNA JUST LOVES SWASTIKAS AND HATES JEWISH PEOPLE APPARENTLY- Paris, France – There was a time when Madonna could do no wrong, where every move she made, even clear missteps, turned into huge victories. Other artists could have done similar things and ended up being scorned and pushed from the top of the pop charts but for Madonna those stunts just made her more popular.madonna young swastikas
Whether it was openly talking about sex in songs, challenging the Catholic Church, or even making pornography there really wasn’t a button that Madonna didn’t push and every time she pushed, she became more popular. That, however, has not happened for the Material Girl in a long time. Age has finally caught up to the Peter Pan of the pop world and it seems to have left her behind.
Whether it’s almost non-existent record sales, concerts selling out only by attaching tickets to CD’s, or just being a second banana to modern stars like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, people who no doubt owe their careers to Madonna, it seems time has left her behind. Madonna, though, is still the master of reinvention and despite the challenges, perhaps because of them, she has transformed herself once again in an effort to get to the top of the charts. This time though she has abandoned the sexpot image and isn’t railing against faith. Now Madonna has transformed herself into a vile and hateful human being who hates Jewish people and worships Swastikas just like Nazi pop stars of the past.
"There seems to be a growing intolerance around the world. In Greece, France, everywhere people are trying to kick out all the immigrants, make people cover up and not show what their religious affiliation is,” Madonna told the BBC. “I’m calling attention to the intolerance and asking people to pay attention, to wake up to see how we are just creating more chaos in the world.” madonna like a prayer
To that end, Madonna has been displaying Swastikas and other Nazi iconography during her concerts in places where Nazi Germany actually killed people.
It’s not clear if that Nazi ethos has extended to the backstage which would presumably mean no Jewish people on her crew.
“Back in her heyday Madonna could possibly have pulled something like this off. I mean Nazis are pretty darned offensive to pretty much everyone but Nazis and so it would have been tough but sh could really do no wrong back then. Now all she seems able to do is wrong,” said Scrape TV Music analyst Dylan Chambers. “I mean she’s trying, clearly she’s trying, but it just isn’t really working out as well as it used to. That sucks for her and for her fans but for the rest of us I guess it doesn’t matter.”
It’s believed that Madonna still employs people of colour which mutes her National Socialist agenda.
“It would be kind of fun to see Madonna popular again because she never did anyone any wrong, not really, and she was exciting at time. I doubt that Swastikas are the avenue towards that though. People really don’t like them very much and that isn’t likely to change anytime soon. I could be wrong but probably not,” continued Chambers. “It’s getting her attention to be sure but not the kind that makes a person popular. I mean it’s the kind that made Hitler popular but I doubt that’s what she’s going for. It’s possible but that isn’t going to sell any records. Hitler wasn’t know, really, as a pop artist after all so ther is no evidence that it will work for her.”
It’s not clear why people are still going to Madonna’s concerts, though they could all be Neo-Nazis and racists of some form.

Madonna calls for an end to rockets
- By LAUREN IZSO
LAST UPDATED: 07/13/2014 15:13
Queen of pop posted a tribute to murdered teens on her Facebook page, urging Israelis and Palestinians to reach a ceasefire agreement amid escalating violence.
The queen of pop, Madonna, is urging Israel and Gaza to come to a ceasefire agreement.
Amid ongoing rocket fire from Gaza and retaliatory airstrikes that Israel is calling Operation Protective Edge, the iconic starlet posted to her Facebook page a call to stop the violence.
The 55-year-old diva made two consecutive posts urging an end to the violence. One post was accompanied by a picture of the three young Israeli yeshiva students who went missing in the West Bank last month and were later found dead, and the other accompanied by a picture of the 16-year-old Palestinian boy who was kidnapped shortly after and found dead near Jerusalem.

It never ends.
Now a Jewish writer (at least I'm assuming this person is Jewish) is turned off or miffed with Madonna over Madonna's Rebel Heart instagram posts.
Hey Madonna, This Is A Pretty Lame Way To Wish Everyone “Shabbat Shalom” - RSS January 2, 2015 Culture, Music
Look, I’ve got nothing really against Madonna’s (ehrm, sorry, “Esther’s”) embrace of Kabbalah-ish Judaism – Truth be told, I find it far less annoying than her faux British accent. Sure, it’s not like Madge is showing up to synagogue every Saturday to read Torah, but hey – neither are most of us, so y’know what?
If she wants to consider herself Jewish-ish, and she isn’t hurting anyone, fine.
Let her wear a red string around her wrist, and toss a little Hebrew into her conversations. As long as she doesn’t try to dissuade anyone else from doing their own Jewish thing their own way, I’m content to leave her be.
But, this (link to Madonna Tweet) This is not helping.
[snip photo of Madonna /post by Madonna from her twitter]
Allow me to explain. “Rebel Heart” is the name of Madonna’s upcoming album, tracks from which were leaked in late 2014, prompting Madonna to claim “artist rape” (oof, Madge, no.) and bump up the release date of the full record. So far seven of the Madonna_-_Rebel_Heart_(Official_Album_Cover) album’s 19 tracks have been revealed, including lead single “Living For Love” – the same “Living For Love” plastered across Madonna’s totally-heartfelt, not-at-all-commercially-motivated Shabbat Shalom tweet.
Yeah, Madonna just blasted her 500K twitter followers with a Shabbat-themed ad for her new album. (Who knows? Tracks like “Unapologetic b***h,” or “b***h I’m Madonna” [ft. Nicki Minaj!] might actually make for bangin’ Sabbath tunes?)
But wait, it gets better. Or, worse. Both, I suppose.
Madonna’s Shabbat-y commercial comes at the heels of a triptych of hashtag-RebelHeart tweets, each featuring portraits of famous black men photoshopped to match the Rebel Heart album cover art.
Here’s Bob Marley:
[snip photo]
Here's MLK and Mandela (snip)
Your guess as to what these three guys (okay, two guys – fellow musician Marley kind of makes sense, I suppose) have to do with hocking Madonna’s “Rebel Heart” album is as good as mine.
Oh, and did I mention Jesus?
Yeah, Jesus. A few days ago Madge drafted the lamb of god into her “sell my album” hashtag game, too.
(Photo of Jesus with cords about his head off Madonna's Twitter)
And that’s my real problem with Madonna’s Shabbat Shalom tweet. It’s not simply that she’s dragging her already-shaky Jewish bona-fides into her album’s ad campaign.
It’s that she’s doing so as part of a larger (presumably calculated) marketing plan – one which aims to frame Madge as being on par with the world’s most significant civil rights leader, international peace icon, and Jesus f***ing Christ (“See everyone, we’re all #RebelHearts! Nelson, Martin, Jesus and me!”).
You wanna wish folks a “Shabbat Shalom” Madonna? I’m all for it.
But don’t try to shoehorn your self-serving, appropriative hashtag nonsense into my sabbath.
I’m more of a Cyndi Lauper guy, anyways.

Madonna's never been a truly spiritual person I'm guessing. She took up Kabbalah in 1996/1997? Isn't it a sin to use religious symbols for selfish gain?

Inside the stunning £36m Tel Aviv penthouse Madonna has her eye on (but she might have competition from Natalie Portman too)
Will Madonna be calling Tel Aviv home? - According to the British Daily Mail, pop singer Madonna and Israel-born actress Natalie Portman are smitten with a luxury apartment on Rothschild Boulevard, the swankiest part of central Tel Aviv.
The newspaper reported that Madonna is in talks to buy one of the residential units in the 42-story building. The penthouse apartment at the Meier-on-Rothschild Tower, which was designed by award-winning American architect Richard Meier, costs an estimated $55 million. Madonna and Portman May Vie to Purchase $55 Million Tel Aviv Penthouse
Madonna Considering Buying Luxury Penthouse in Tel Aviv- Madonna first began learning Kabbala years ago and took on the name ‘Esther’. That could have been the first step in her journey to the Holy Land. Back in 2012 she chose Tel Aviv to kick off her world tour and has repeatedly declared in concert that she’s ‘in love with Israel’.
She is on a first name basis with Shimon Peres and even spoke Hebrew to him. It all seems to have culminated in the recent surprising rumors that she intends calling Israel her home.
Madona is interested in the penthouse apartment worth $55 million in the Mayer Tower on Rothschild Boulevard, in Tel Aviv, the Daily Mail reported. The 42-story Meier-on-Rothschild Tower was designed by architect Richard Meier, who designed the Barcelona Museum of Art and the Los Angeles Getty Center. Her net worth is reported to be around $800 million so the price tag won’t be a big stretch for the Material Girl.
The largest penthouse in the tower is named the Palace in the Sky. The 15,263sqft space has a private elevator, large entertaining areas, a 12-seater dining room, a large kitchen/breakfast room and two terraces.
All the reception rooms have Mediterranean views, double-height 22ft-high ceilings and an expanse of floor to ceiling glazing on two sides. Other features include a private gym, cocktail bar, cinema and mini-spa.
On the upper level are the bedroom suites, each with walk-in dressing rooms and bathrooms.
The master bedroom suite has floor to ceiling glazing and also glass feature walls looking into the atrium space formed by the double-height reception. And of course it has a private outdoor swimming pool.
At 492 ft above the street, she should have plenty of privacy. It is reported that Natalie Portman, a native born Israeli, is also considering an apartment in the same building.

Madonna attacks intolerance and says Europe ‘feels like Nazi Germany’
Madonna: European intolerance ‘feels like Nazi Germany’ - Singer decries ‘enormous’ and ‘scary’ levels of anti-Jewish hatred on continent; says ‘anti-Semitism is at an all-time high’ BY AFP February 27, 2015, 3:09 am 2
PaRIS, France — Rebounding from her stage tumble at the Brit awards, pop star Madonna told French radio Thursday that “intolerance” was now so high in France and Europe that “it feels like Nazi Germany.”
Speaking to Europe 1 radio in an interview to be aired Friday morning, Madonna said “anti-Semitism is at an all-time high” in France and elsewhere in Europe, and likened the current atmosphere to the period when German fascism was on the ascent.
“We’re living in crazy times. It feels like Nazi Germany,” the 56-year-old singer said, calling the situation “scary,” and lamenting what she described as France’s lost tradition of welcoming diversity and honoring freedom.
“It was a country that embraced everyone and encouraged freedom in every way, shape or form — artistic expression of freedom,” Madonna said. “Now that’s completely gone.
“France was once a country that accepted people of color, and was a place artists escaped to, whether it was Josephine Baker or Charlie Parker.”
In fact, Charlie Parker only visited France briefly to play concert engagements, and unlike jazz legends such as Bud Powell, Kenny Clarke and Dexter Gordon, never took up French residency.
The globally-acclaimed entertainer also spoke out in 2012 when she denounced the rise of xenophobia and extreme-right parties in Europe.
The diva said her earlier comments were made when “I was receiving a lot of criticism and threats from Marie (sic) Le Pen and her” National Front party, which Madonna described as “fascist.”
The singer’s spat with Marine Le Pen began after the far-right leader threatened to sue Madonna over a video featuring an image of Le Pen with a swastika on her forehead. The offending symbol was eventually replaced with a question mark to avoid litigation.
But Madonna said in the Europe 1 interview that the motives that led her to speak out against intolerance in 2012 were even more pressing today.
“What I said two years ago is valid today,” she said. “It’s not just happening in France, it’s all over Europe. But particularly in France.
“The level of intolerance is so enormous, it’s scary.”

I have one or two observations below all this: Madonna: I'm not Jewish, I'm an Israelite - Madonna: I'm not Jewish, I'm an Israelite
In interview with Irish media, Madonna lays out theology, saying she feels connection with religious ceremonies, but not with any religion: I feel connection with all religions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam Ynet Published: 03.23.15, 22:50 / Israel Jewish Scene
Despite her love for Kabballah, Maddona does not identify as Jewish, the pop legend told Ireland's The Independent.
When asked to what extent would she would characterize herself Jewish? Madonna reportedly laughed the question off, saying "No, I don't affiliate myself with any specific religious group. I connect to different ritualistic aspects of different belief systems, and I see the connecting thread between all religious beliefs."
Madonna elaborated on her theological outlook, saying that though she studied Kabbalah, and does follows many religious practices affiliated with Judaism, like observing the Shabbat and holding a bar mitzvah for her son, she has not converted. "This appears like I'm Jewish, but these rituals are connected to what I describe as the Tree of Life consciousness and have more to do with the idea of being an Israelite, not Jewish," she told The Independent. "The tribes of Israel existed before the religion of Judaism existed, so you have to do your history . . . So, am I Jewish? I mean, some people would say, well, you do a lot of things that Jews do, but I would say I do a lot of things that people did before Judaism existed. And I believe what I practice has to do with something deeper than religion, that it embodies all religions, including Judaism. And Christianity. And Islam." The interviewer, Brian Hiatt, asked about her the cross she wore, to which the pop star answered: "I like crosses. I'm sentimental about Jesus on the cross."
Delving into deeper theology, Madonna explained that "Jesus was a Jew, and … a catalyst, and I think he offended people because his message was to love your neighbor as yourself; in other words, no one is better than somebody else.
"He embraced all people, whether it was a beggar on the street or a prostitute, and he admonished a group of Jews who were not observing the precepts of the Torah. So he rattled a lot of people's cages," she said. "A rebel heart, you might say," the interviewer quipped, in a reference to her new album, which incidentally was leaked to the internet by an Israeli reality television star turned hacker. Well, yes. Jesus said and did a lot of things that ticked off the religious leaders of his day, but his biggest offense was that he claimed to be their Messiah and the Son of God. He was not crucified for being a really nice guy with a few teachings that made them angry. It was more than that.
About her other views. Her religious beliefs sound all over the place.

...totally agree, flea...
...in general, the more she opens her mouth trying to sound all lofty and spiritual, the more she erodes her own mythology about being 'intelligent' or having a 'high IQ'...
...her social media outings have had an even more dramatic impact in this regard...who'd a thunk someone so supposedly 'savvy' about connecting with her fans and the mainstream vibe of the moment could be so disastrously inept with the new media...

- Hated Madonna since:
- Seeing her trashy videos when they started to get vulgar and her trashy lyrics, her immoral behavior

Nice time to use publicity for herself, since when she was interested in peoples' religion?
