I'm surprised that more of you didn't rip on Madonna for these drug comments. Madonna has been trying to pass herself off as a woman of virtue these days. She says, or tries to show, in her crock-u-mentary that she cares about her back-up dancers.... and yet, she doesn't have a 'moral problem' with any of her back-up dancers using marijuana?! Even the basest of secular people who have something resembling morals are against drugs, including marijuana, but not her. That, to me, speaks volumes. |

Lourdes' daddy, Carlos Leon, was arrested a few years ago for pot possession. Lies Rosenberg said somthing like, why are the police wasting their time with little things like grass? WELL...if Madonna doesn't mind pot, and Carlos is a pothead, why doesn't little Jackolantern ever stay with her NY relatives? Could it be that the hypocrite doesn't want the kid exposed to dope smoking family? Hmmm? |

He was arrested for that? I don't remember hearing that before, hmm. Oh no, a perfectly good chance to use the board's jack-o-lantern emoticon, wasted! Here it is:

Although I don't smoke pot, I don't have a problem with my friends who do, and only if they smoke in their homes. Personally, I have tried it a couple of times but never really liked the feeling it gave me. It made me all paranoid! I also think it makes people act stupid, but if somebody wants to smoke pot, go right ahead. Working in a pharmacy, I have a problem with doctors who write out multiple prescriptions for painkillers and anti-anxiety medications for their patients. And believe me, there are some STRANGE people who come into our pharmacy, and I feel sorry for a lot of them. Marijuana, like any other drug, is subject to personal abuse and can lead to addiction. I have witnessed cocaine and heroin addiction in friends and unfortunately lost a friend last year to a heroin overdose. I just never understood the appeal of drugs.

I think Madonna has one weird religion there. It apparently does not ask or demand any changes of her. Madonna sometimes claims it does, and maybe in some ways it does: that she's expected to, say, not be so arrogant, to show more humility, but then she turns around in interviews and says she doesn't have any moral and/or religious- based reasons for objecting to illegal drug use or wearing smutty clothing? It seems in some ways to be a religion where you can live any ol' way you want. No sacrifices expected or asked, except for big, fat checks written out to cult leaders. But you don't have to change some aspects of your behavior. |

Even if she did become "morally opposed" to it, she couldn't admit it for fear of not being seen as a "rebel" anymore... |
